We won it first time around, and it was down to the Rags throwing away an 8 point lead with 6 games to go.
We then came second to the Rags, and that was proof that we shouldn't have won it the previous year.
We won it again, but only because Liverpool blew it, and Morinho deliberately underachieved so he'd get his own way in the transfer market.
We came second to Chelsea, proving that we were definitely lucky the previous year, and vindication that Morinho could have won it if he wanted.
Why the fuck is anyone surprised that these cunts now under rate us?
BINGO!!
All season last year, it was never "Chelsea doing well at keeping the gap between themselves and the rest of the pack" in the second half of the season, it was always "City not defending their title!" What a biased joke!
The Prem title has been "defended" twice in 20 yrs! 1 in 10! But, because it is city and EVERYONE KNOWS CITY BOUGHT IT, then the entire sentiment is different. However, EVEREY TEAM HAS ALWAYS BOUGHT IT, because the best teams could always afford the best players! More recently, large investments from ownership....Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, United and even Tottenham....yet since 2008, it is as if City invented the whole "buy good players, win silverware" model??? It would be curious if it were not so obviously biased, and possibly even racist!
FWIW, the British analysts (and the Yanks) at NBCSN, who televise EVERY Premier League game, reckon this could be Arsenal's year, with Cech saving them points and stabilizing a defence that has looked shaky in the past. Question is who is their 20+ goal striker, or can their overwhelming midfield score enough to get them there? So, the consensus was Arsenal, Chelsea, City, United on NBCSN....mainly because City haven't added too much, Sterling is a hat and cold striker, and a United are a team in transition with no defence...yet!
Clearly, if Arsenal snag a 20+ forward, Chelsea add any quality, City pick up DeBruyne and/or Pogba, and united grab a recognized centre half who can organize the defence, all bets are off on ANYONE picking the Top Four order and it will be down to results against each other and how many hiccups any of them have against lower half opposition....which has been City's Achilles Heel for the last four years!
Tbh, I don't think I can pick a Top Four with any conviction, but....
City
Arsenal
Chelsea
United
Liverpool
Spurs
Soton
Swansea...may all have strong spells and put themselves in contention at some point, but I don't think they have the staying power over a 38 game season.
Surprise team: Stoke-celona
