As we all know we were in for this guy last year but we refused to pay the extortionate asking price. Now our quiet neighbours have paid an eye watering amount for his services, I thought a separate thread was required to monitor his progress to see whether we dodged a bullet or whether we missed out on one of the best players in the world, if the hype and bullshit surrounding him for the last few years is any measure of his true worth.
Personally I think we dodged a bullet, if yesterday's performance was anything to go by.
We've got a fuck off huge Rag thread, thats plenty thank you.

The slow creeping realisation that they really aren't that good is delicious. They all bought into the narrative of turning another corner, mega money signings and shirt sales, the special one, back in business and once again (After the Hull game) about to conquer the footballing landscape. Those first 40 minutes yesterday was a cold backhanded slap into wakey-wakey land.

It won't be long before the Norwich scarf wearing softarses are out in force again and we'll once again see the cracks in Moureen's Psyche emerge, especially if they suffer a couple of crap results in the upcoming games. We'll see more players being thrown under the bus, backroom issues will be a plenty, more referees will be publicly blamed and critisised. It'll be just like his last season at Chelsea all over again. Despite the media circle jerk telling us how great the scum and Maureen are I've seen very little to suggest anything of radical or successful change with regards to how they set up and play. Long ball, long ball, hit a cross in, long ball, get Young on for a penalty etc. As already mentioned, Spurs, Dippers, Arse all look better.

The pressure is on him big time to succeed this season from those upstairs, the sponsers, their mutant fans and if he doesn't, well, that baby is going to blow. I really can't see the big nosed ego or the £100 Million vanishing French man saving him.
If they don't make top 4 again I may well die laughing

Looks like our hierarchy were right about Pogba..he's never worth the type of money they paid for him..I genuinely thought we had made a mistake not signing him

I'm not saying he's shite..but makes my eyes water thinking how much money he cost..in today's market he's a 50mil player at best
On what he has showed so far in the PL, I would feel royally ripped off if we had paid £50m for him. Has a lot to prove

I'm not sure that Mourinho will be about to get a tune out of him. I wouldn't write him off just yet, but even at the time I thought they'd overpaid - mind you, he's only worth what the buying club are willing to pay for him. I'd still have liked him to come here, and I'm sure we'd be seeing a different player to the rugby tackling eedjit we saw yesterday.

Just don't see him as a Pep player at all. Technically he is very average.

He wouldn't get into our first 11 at the moment, in fact probably not for a couple of years if Dinho keeps his fitness levels up

Be very, very careful how you post it. Someone inadvertently allowed the whole of BM access to some very private pictures.....!!

We dodged a massive bullet with Pogba. The biggest reason he wouldn't fit is because he is not a hard worker, players working hard is not something Pep wants, its something he demands. This is the reason Yaya doesn't even make the bench, he simply gives too little defensively.

The rags are a joke, they pay a world record fee and then play him out of position haha Pogba has potential but needs to play in at least a midfield 3 with less defensive responsibilities. His time with the rags will probably stunt his growth.

Shrek is also holding them back, he's been under-performing for a few seasons now. Its wonderful to see him start every game, I'm convinced he has a clause that states he must start a certain number of games each season. He has a contract until 2019 and can only continue to decline! There's no chance he leaves before then, he's on crazy wages that nobody in their right mind would match. He's 33 (almost 34) at the end of his contract, maybe he retires and moves into a coaching role for them or if we're really lucky they give him an extension for lower wages, either way its a win-win.

Not making the top 4 will set them back even further. Before the season started I honestly believed that they would struggle to make the top 4 while others were claiming they are title contenders haha. I know its the beginning of the season but as time goes on the chances of them missing out are getting better and better. IMO Chelsea and City are a lock for the top 4. Chelsea has strengthened in the right areas, are playing well and have one of the best managers in the league, they also don't have European football which is a big advantage. IMO We will win the league. The other two spots will be contended by Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, and the rags. Liverpool are currently playing well, they have a good squad with some quality attacking players, they also have no European football to worry about; if they are consistent they will make top 4.

Out of Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, and the rags. The competition for the other two top 4 spots least favors the rags. Not only do they have an average first 11, the squad is average as well and those glorious Thursday nights will be a burden. I must admit I like Rashford but Kelechi is certainly better. Ibra is good but is over hyped as well, wasn't a threat at all yesterday (his goal was due to our mistake), he'll score against the lower table teams but will be neutralized against the top teams. Their defense is fragile and on a good day we would have scored at least 4 in the derby.

Jose is finished as a top manager, his time at Real has caused him psychological trauma. haha He went from being a manager who always defended his players to now openly criticizing them. Jose is hard headed and refuses to adapt his tactics. I'm surprised many think he will last more than one season. He has spent roughly £165 mil (£30 mil on Bailly, £25 on Micky, £110 on Pogba) and will be fired when they don't make top 4. I'm expecting him to last to season end at most. Its only September and he has already banished a world cup winner to the reserves, sent a number of youngsters with potential out on loan, frozen out Darmian, and blamed his players for the derby loss. The united way is alive and well. The dressing room will eventually crumble its inevitable IMO

The players will turn against him, its going to be a joy to watch.

We improved in the second half and Pep responded by immediately bringing on a defensive midfielder for the striker. By the end the players were shattered and running on empty which half explains the long balls I think.

Bravo was a lucky boy IMO but no doubt the victory was fully deserved for that first 40 minutes. De Bruyne was superb.
Why do people repy to this wierdo ?
Any rat rag 'fan' who spends his time trolling another teams forum ( not their closet rivals forum , that's Liverpool. whenever we beat them) needs to get a life , and give their odd shaped head a wobble

'I'm still seething at being beaten by such an inferior small time club. The stick I've had at work has been unbearable. It's even more frustrating to know we could have done much better in the first 35 minutes and there were a few contentious decisions which went against us.'

Another corker from red cafe. Poor fucker.

love this from the cafffff

To put it simply if Pogba is wort £110m ( which he ain't ), then how much is our KDB worth.

I too wanted Pogba, back last year, but I have to admit I bought into the hype as I didn't see him play for Juventus. That said I watched him in the Euro's and thought he was bang average bar a few good runs. But as like yesterday, he went missing in France's biggest game and a player worth £110m should be bossing a game for me

But that would be KDB
