Jamie Carragher made a really good point on Monday night football. He just cannot play in a 2 man midfield. At Juventus in a 3 man midfield he could roam and do whatever he wanted but you cant do that with just A&E as your partner. He did do that in the first half against us and we ruthlessly exposed the gaps in midfield. PEG either has to rein him in or play with a 3 man midfield. 3 man midfield means he has to drop Rooney

And a stellar three man defence behind the midfield as well, so going forward was less of a problem.

Was Rashford playing down the middle yesterday? I've seen nothing to make me believe he knows the game enough to do that. all his flashes have come from a wider position and/or running into acres of open space.

If the opposition shut Mata down, there's a dire lack of creativity in the whole squad at the moment. Baffling but fun.

Mourinho is already starting to look like he did this time last season.

Be interesting to see what happens if they don't go on a bit of a run in the next few games. Be interesting to see how Twattan reacts too, if that's the case. Not the bloke you want when things are going pear shaped.

Come on Watford

Pep began to destroy the Mourinho myth in Spain and now he's knocking the last few nails in the coffin.

That's pretty much a third of his games that have ended in defeat in the last year. Not a good stat for a manager who needs his players to totally buy into the 'special one' nonsense so they run through brick walls for him. Otherwise, what's the appeal? Dull, defensive football for elite players? No freedom of expression, just disciplined formations? And on top of that a manager who you know will call you out in public at the first sign of pressure.

A couple of defeats for Pep simply won't have the same impact because it must be a joy to play that brand of football and he protects his players. We're so lucky.

Pogba has been disappointing but as mentioned i don't think the system is suiting him at all. I feel like with Juve the system helped him become the player he is. At United and even france he plays too damn deep.

On this day in 1992, Gary Neville made his MUFC debut at Old Trafford in front of 19,998 v Torpedo Moscow.

Makes you feel old, and honestly, that’s the only reason I posted it.

Square pegs for round holes – they bought a player they didn't need just because they felt they had to make a statement... he just looks like a shit Balotelli in their side!

So, it's yet another game where the shit Balotelli makes zero impact. Listening to Talksport this morning, we got the usual
'needs time' nonsense, but from what I saw last night, he also needs lessons on how to be a footballer, he looks the part, can run a bit
but has no vision and seems to make the wrong decisions. So still no goals, assists, or anything like a competent display from a lad with the
unenviable tag of the most expensive player in history. The rest of the team produced a turgid display reminiscent of LVG at his nadir,
3 subs thrown on together, supposedly world class players making no impact whatsoever.
Happy days.
The new Bebe.

Not even one year after completely losing the dressing room, having the players down tools en masse, and inflicting enough PR damage on Chelsea with that Eva incident that silly mainstream US websites like the Huffington Post are introducing people to the name Jose Mourinho.

That's when the Nonsense decided to hire him. Just so consistent with their paycheck to paycheck sort of philosophy. We get Pep so they need a huge name. And that was who was available and who they could get.

Well then, Van Gaal Era and all you entitled 'caf lurkers with your delusions of adequacy - the little club you make fun of is more or less driving the narrative. Which you then react to. Stupidly.

Who's really the "little club," then?
Amended for accuracy.

Just had an update from the police. Rumours that Carlton Pogba was seen in Holland last night have been dimissed, a spokesman for GMP said the reported sighting was well intentioned but the unfortunately not true.

Carlton Pogba has been missing since 12.30pm Saturday 10th September. If you know where this person is please don't bother ringing the police. Or anybody else.

I really wanted Pogba, but it's clear to see now how Pep wants his team to play, and Pogba does not suit that style at all... also clear to see why he fucked of Ibrahimovic, the lazy fucker would never fit in a Pep team.

or is he just steve daley?

are woodward and peg merely versions of swales and the second coming of big malc?

omg today feels like a we won last night day. there are some panicking reds out there.

Maurinho was Utds last punt at success, It is looking like Maurinho doesnt know what he is doing and things are falling apart around him. Pogba looks to be a waste of millions, Ibrahimovic is just being used as a big man up front, even Rashford seems to be affected by what's happening. this feels like it could be the end of Utd which is a shame because I was looking fw to the clashes between city and utd

I think you're only speaking for yourself there, I'm afraid.

What is even more comforting about their current results is the bean counters in Florida,(Glazers) couldn't give one fuck about the history, heart and soul of that club and will feel they won the lottery when they managed to get into a position to milk a cash cow, because Ferguson took on the Magnier and Coolmore set,and they decided to screw him over, due to Ferguson not backing down over a gift of a horse, and it's interpretation over future breeding rights etc..
Real Yoonitid fans will know Ferguson actions created this fallout and the opportunity for the Glazers to pick them off as a lucrative investment saddling them with enormous debt and payment in kinds, based on future potential earnings.
A fair Uk media would have asked questions of Ferguson but this never happened.
He helps bring their greedy club down by being greedy and stubborn himself,he encouraged the Rags to get behind the Glazers and only ever though about his own financial future, which is of course the real Yoontitid way,as is dodgy school meat, turfing Munich widows out of the club homes and having the 50th anniversary sponsored by AON.
Their club values of arrogance, ignorance, delusion are lapped up by their hordes.
They are a club who employs a failed narcissistic manager to feed their fans self importance that they think they deserve the best of everything.
They wanted Pep so much, but were never in the frame for him,but kept the story alive in the media to appease their fans ego.
It is a fantastic time to be a Blue, the way we dismantled them last week was portentous and it's a bonus that they seem to be struggling as the media bubble they live in is slowly disintegrating, and all the mocking they gave us from the mid 90s onwards should be returned with charm and vigour.
