Spurs are a force in the league now, or are at worst a few players off. Rags are in decline. The two trophies have papered the cracks.

But surely with the platform they will have created if they win the final they'll bulldoze their way to buying more players to try and get back to challenging at the top - sorry, but it's inevitable.. they have the manager and the cheque book to do it

They had all that last summer and still are going to finish 6th, they haven't won it yet either.

It doesn't matter, the magic ( Vomit ) of that club has gone since bacon face retired. Players see them as a bumper pay packet nowadays that's all. Look at the attitude of their 'galacticos' they don't care.

I pray they don't win it but not being in the champions league didn't particularly hurt them last summer, it just means they'll have to overpay (again) for the players they want with the promise of getting into the champs league the following season

I thought pot 1 was champions only.

You're right of course i forget they keep changing the rules to suit. We'll have to win it then......they could still get that group though...as could we!!
As only 3 (Real, Bayern & Juve) of the current top 8 will likely win the League does that mean they get to be in pot 3 with us ?

Maybe its me but Jogba never seems to be fully in control of the ball every time he plays..
It's weird isn't it? Even if he didnt cost over £100mil I'd be questioning his value, there was another instance against Chelski where he had the ball near the corner flag, literally next to it, and tried to do an overlap. It seems to be a lack of awareness which I find incredible at this level.

I think it is lovely to see what a poor side they look given the amount they have spent. Unless things change re summer transfers they are just as far away now as under the last 2 managers. Saying that - a League Cup and Europa Cup (probable) win is still better than winning diddly squat like us. And their manager is able to make a shite side win things where as our glorious leader wins nothing with far better players. Next year either we kick on (which I think we will) or we are basically in the same shit boat as them but without a manager who can grind out results

They might end up having won 2 trophies, playing a dreadfully boring brand of football and having received plenty of favourable decisions go for them which will no doubt satisfy their hoardes of glory hunters, but I for one would never wish to see City being successful in such a manner , and I suspect that most of our supporters feel the same way.

Football at its best is about flair and positivity imo not Mourinho's " win at all costs " approach.
