It would be hilarious if they wont the final but then finished third in their group thus dropping back down to the EL. Even more hilarious would be for them to lose the final and finish 5th or 6th and find themselves in the EL right at the start

They might end up having won 2 trophies, playing a dreadfully boring brand of football and having received plenty of favourable decisions go for them which will no doubt satisfy their hoardes of glory hunters, but I for one would never wish to see City being successful in such a manner , and I suspect that most of our supporters feel the same way.
Football at its best is about flair and positivity imo not Mourinho's " win at all costs " approach.
The rags under PEG are an extremely expensive imitation of City under Pearce.
And we all hated that.

Whilst in their shoes I'd have been happy with a league cup win & a european final to come, the football they are playing is prehistoric- more importantly however is I now see the Rags back to what they were for most of my formative years 70s 80s as nothing more than a top half team capable of a decent cup run, bragging about imaginary histories and using their fan base as a fig leaf for their insecurities- us yes we have hugely underachieved this season but I'd rather be us than them.
I'm sure they'll splurge cash on a few signings this summer, always been 'the United way' anyway, however Peg is a busted flush and he will alienate more players and staff as he grinds through next season with very few defeats, maybe a cup or 2 and lots of draws and 1-0 wins
