5 out of the last 6 seasons. In the last six, we've finished: 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 4th, and hopefully 3rd. In that time, they've finished: 2nd, 1st, 7th, 4th, 5th, and likely 6th.

We know they'll have a drop in sponsorship if they miss the CL - don't bother analysing it as estimates vary by huge amounts - and the EL and Maureen being his standard obnoxious self for most of this season should combine to make players think twice before signing.
Obviously they'll still have access to those who came through their many academies. So many academies in fact, all over Europe.
