The bottom line is the whole midfield (Kev, Gundog, Bernardo, Kovacic) won’t be here next season. All too old and have all lost their ability to effect top level games and make defensive recovery runs.

We also have no full backs. To have O’Reilly and Nunes as full backs in a PL game is fucking diabolical.

6 top signings needed to get back to anywhere like.

Are we trying to get a CL place or a Thursday night match? Midfield and attack today too old,slow and weak!!

Everyone single person could see how poor that midfield was before the game.

Pep is purely picking now on favouritism and not form or ability. Grealish played superb midweek and was dropped today. Not for the first time either, the exact same thing happened after Forrest at home.

The old boys have played well together twice all season, yet because Pep likes them as people, he’s picking them.

I’ve just said exactly the same to my mates and cited the Forest game as an example. Grealish outstanding in centre mid that game but not played there since.

That was a game that had everything. That is, everything that you'd expect from a game between two League 1 teams with nothing to play for at the arse-end of the season.

I thought it was a cowardly team selection by Pep……it’s been said many times that only one of Kovacic, De Bruyne and Gundogan should ever start….have to say though that Bernardo never stopped running all match.

It must be very disappointing for Jack to be dropped after a decent performance v Leicester.

De Bruyne is so far below what he once was and Kovacic gave his customary ball away that nearly led to a goal.

Was Bobb injured ?and surely Echerrveri would be worth a try…..even for 20 minutes.

Got to say (and he is definitely not one of my favourites) but Nunes and the rest of the back 4 were fairly decent.

As this season is drawing to its end and we've been turning into a mid-table non-entity of a team, I am thinking more an more that we were like a runaway train winning our last two titles. It was more the force of kinetic energy after the power had gone back in 2022 and quotidian bottlers Arsenal and Liverpool, than true brilliance of pre 2022 Pep's teams.

It will be fun seeing Rodri returning, he might be thinking he was sent to Leganes on loan.

This team needs to be completely demolished before any rebuild begins. Just my view, please do not pile up unless you can say what you are thinking.

You can't tell me Doku, Savinho, Grealish, and Nico Gonzalez are worse options than Bernardo, De Bruyne, Kovacic, and Gundogan.

And yet he keeps picking the latter four over the younger lads. Why? We spent £200m in January and three of them didn't even get on.

I said Gonzales was a better option
grealish has done nothing for over 12 months - literally nothing upto that goal last game - he has been shocking and clearly has a lifestyle or attitude issue.....Pep rightly hasnt been playing him and he ws shit when he came on as well
Savinho cant hit a barn door at present.
Doku - came on and yes he tried but he is a high risk player and look at how many times we conceeded posession on that side of the pitch

Khusonov I agree is a decent player but he adds nothing to the attack - he changes very little today (and i think he looks a great player btw)

Our issue and has been all season is midfield....and only Gonzales (who i did mention) changes anything.
