Think Kdb needs to start packing his bags after that performance.
Shame such a great players time is over but he’s holding us back now and nothing to be gained by flogging him to end of season

Phil was hooked and that was right but how Kev and Bernardo stayed on is beyond me. I’m cringing at them playing because they can’t even pass any more. It makes me sad that they’ve been reduced to this because they’ve been so good for us.

How that United team looked better than us today and we just let them do it. We give up on the press 5 minutes in when they got forward and nearly scored. That was depressing, we went for control, never got it, barely created a chance and produced a dull lifeless performance.

That game really showed why KDB is off, he was never at the races today. Barely had any successful passes and lost every challenge.

We played well second half against Bournemouth getting our full backs moving at pace but everything was so pedestrian. It really was difficult to see what we were trying to do in attack.
 
I start off with a disclaimer as I have only got the Match Day Thread to go off! ;-)

The Boys in Blue didn’t give in. They fought to the end… Well they didn’t concede a goal did they?
The so called media will probably have a lot to say but we didn’t lose.
The Specsavers needing, whistle blowing officiating fools don’t really know the rules but hey ho that’s life.
Of course they still don’t know who we are. We are: MANCHESTER CITY THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD.


Listen, it might have been a poor game but they are still my team and I’m never going to say they are not the best. They’re tired and need a break. We should shove the World Club thingymabob into touch and give ALL the players and backroom staff a proper long rest. JMHO. :-)

Personally i think Pep has zero answers as the game has caught up with him and ie is largely responsible for the complete shambles we find ourselves in. I cannot see him turning it around.
We look awful, dull boring tactics that no longer work, look like there is zero coaching done, no player has improved in the last 18 months where he used to bring players on in their game. Our conditioning/medical team cannot keep us fit, less said about the set pieces coach the better, we cannot shoot and our defending remains unimpressive and attavking even worse.
We have been horrid in the market, bought wingers who offer fuck all, Doku can leave as no improvement since he arrived, zero creativity in midfield, no pace and yet in January we spent 200 million inc 60 million on another slow but good player who cannot get in the this pathetic midfield.

We went into the season with 1 striker which is shambolic, no cover for Rodri and an aging squad got older with bringing back an even older player.

Teams like Villa have deeper and better squads than us now and you wouldnt put a bet on us beating anyone with the current setup.
A keeper who doesn’t want to be here, no proper full backs, 1 striker only who is out injured and no goals at all throughout the squad, it took a howler v Leicester fir us to score and never looked like it today either.
Be a miracle if this squad with the team and tactics he is chosing gets into the CL

Sat in car park at the Lowry.
Fucking hell that was a hard watch. Zero attacking intent. No legs in midfield. The team Pep picked was so defensive. Why are we playing a containing game against them? That one I will never know.
To summarise, 2 poor teams.Take Fernandes out of that team and they are relegation fodder. Looking forward to season end now. Big rebuild required and I think people need to realise it may take longer than 1 transfer window.
See you at Palace.
 
Shambles of a performance. Didn’t even feel like a derby. I can’t understand how Marmoush was never tried down the middle once. Pep was shit scared of that awful United team and just played it safe. This end to the season is seriously dragging its feet.
 
Actually bored watching a Derby. Imagine that!

And we all adore Pep, but he’s absolutely not above criticism and questioning his team selections/tactics. As dire a United team as I can remember and we didn’t even appear to try to beat them. Baffling
 
A bit of good and a bit of bad:
Good - Rags are bloody awful and I got a decent getaway as they didn't keep us in.
Bad - We couldn't beat the worst rag team in over 30 years, and could easily have lost. We need major surgery over the next couple of windows not just tidying up the edges.
Overall, a pitiful 90 minutes.
