To be fair Mancini dished up an equally boring 0-0 against them, and at home to boot. Zero desire to attack that game.No criticism of Pep but the one thing he'll never match Mancini on is the mindset of a Derby.
Mancini fucking hated them and even if we were 9th, 10th, 15th, he'd throw the kitchen sink at it.
Pathetic limp dick of a showing yesterday.
agree, we need to be carefull were not overstocked with players who we thought could make the grade but cant, wharton would be a gamble thats unlikely to pay off, we have to go for proven players, champions lg stock quality, it will cost more sure but there is less risk, were looking at unloading what could be up to 7/8 players so the maths say around a 5/600 million pound spend if permited by FFPYeah as fans of course we can question his decisions...and of course he knows vastly more than us all put together.
This buffer has been coming and it was visable last season as well - we got through and won the league but at times you could see it in KDB especially and of course in Kyle Walker.
The rebuild is going to take time....unless Txixi and Viana have the summer transfer window of a lifetime we aint fixing everything and without CL (which is quite likely) then we are going to find it even harder....the best dont come to clubs outside the CL even for Pep. The worry for me is that we make mistakes in going for players like Wharton who are hyped up to hell
Me personally would have gone in for the Bournemouth manager,, but it's just my opinion, I know most won't agree,, heyho
I don't disagree with thatI’m not calling for Pep to go but one I always thought could follow on from him is Louis Enrique. Did a good job at Barcelona and has PSG playing some very good stuff at the moment.
And for thee record I know it sounds awful saying pep needs to go as I am,,, but personally had enough of his selections, to me it's just gone stale and boring,,, but if others are still loving it who am I to argueI’m not calling for Pep to go but one I always thought could follow on from him is Louis Enrique. When we beat Sporting 0-5, Mahrez came out after the game and said, ‘we played okay but not our best, we need to be better’.In the "All or Nothing" series, Guardiola said to the players "you have to show courage"
I wonder if he repeated that yesterday!
How do you throw the kitchen sink at Utd when we are without the spine of a side in Stones, Rodri and Haaland? No criticism of Pep but the one thing he'll never match Mancini on is the mindset of a Derby.

1 bad season in a huge period of success and the answer is to get rid of him????No-one else to blame for yesterday's shocker is no other than pep, what a fking ridiculous team selection, the only change there should of been from the lecister game was,, possibly gundog for kdb,, other than that it should of been exactly the fking same,,,,
Said it b4 and I will say it again, he needs to go thanks for the memories, but quite frankly I'm bored with him, we need fresh ideas
Que all the bollocks I'll get thrown at me now
Not loving it but the team is in transition. KDB is 33, Gundogan 34. Bernardo 30 I think? The spine of the side is also injured. Had we started rebuilding a year ago, we might not have won the 4th league title. And for thee record I know it sounds awful saying pep needs to go as I am,,, but personally had enough of his selections, to me it's just gone stale and boring,,, but if others are still loving it who am I to argue
Lucky you!I ended up in the kitchen on more than one occasion making a roast dinner!!

have been saying this all season. The team has been physically and mentally run into the ground. Absolutely necessary to win so much, but also means that the fix required is bigger. It baffles me that our fans can't accept one season of change, misfortune and mediocrity, and just back the manager and the teams he selects. Not loving it but the team is in transition. KDB is 33, Gundogan 34. Bernardo 30 I think? The spine of the side is also injured. Had we started rebuilding a year ago, we might not have won the 4th league title.
By the Cup Final we might have some more players: Stones, Rodri, Haaland and Bobb.Looking at recent performances including yesterday's does anybody think we'll win the fa cup? The rags winning it last year proves the best team doesn't always win it, but out of the four teams left I'd say we're the poorest on current form. Villa, Forest and Palace have pace and power throughout the team while we're slow, predictable and a bit weak.
I do agree regarding the team,, but as uve said he is responsible for this no one else,, he's had the money to sort it if he wanted too but chose to stay with the old gaurd,1 bad season in a huge period of success and the answer is to get rid of him????
our most successful manager ever and more than that...someone who is a generational talent as a manager, who has reinvented the game and every coutnry he has managed in.
Its easy to look at him (and of course he takes some blame) BUT the players he has are finished...you cannt compare playing Leicester at home (who Ive never seen such a passive team as them ever) to a derby away at Utd - the two games at any point are just not comparable.
He has come out and said he went for control (we didnt need that vs Leicester - they handed it to us on a plate). He did it to get more goal threat closer to the goal (KDB, Foden and Marmoush) - who ese would you have played there....Gundo aint more goal threat than any of those 3....none of them are in form all season (besides Marmoush)
Who else is going to create - from the middle of the park? Nico Gonzales aint (and he is the one player I would have changed yesterday for Kovacic - who although poor was better than any of the others)
The fact that most people dont want to here is that this team is finished, its come to the end of its cycle...no change in tactics/formations or even personnel at this point is going to change that....not in big games at least...you can get away playing Savihno and Doku at home vs Leicester...but away in a derby you cant...look at what happened when Doku came on...they got more attacks down his side in the last 20 mins than they did all game previous to that.
Besides Nico Gonzales playing as the 6 what else could he change? We play Doku and Savihno from the start we would have got rinsed even more on the flanks which is always where utd's threat comes from with balls into the channels and down the side...
You could suggest Grealish in the middle like he did at Leicester -but again you have to look at the facts...when has Pep ever played Grealish central in a big game....how many times has Grealish played central in his whole career with us?it aint many and there will be reasons for it....and the simple one is probably similar to what he said about Nunes yesterday...Grealish aint clever enough to do it...again he came on yesterday and was poor, throwing himself over and losing the ball in the middle of the pitch....
So what else does he change?
I tell you this ......do you think we are winning the FA cup? I dont...if we some how get passed forest (and Im not sure we will) we will get rinsed by Villa - no matter who he puts on the pitch....
People cant accept that our level now is way way below where we have been - we are an average midtable side at present- no better.
Pep has responsibility BUT the players are the problem - they just aint very good anymore and neither is the team
Although we can formally understand it, it's still a difficult watch.have been saying this all season. The team has been physically and mentally run into the ground. Absolutely necessary to win so much, but also means that the fix required is bigger. It baffles me that our fans can't accept one season of change, misfortune and mediocrity, and just back the manager and the teams he selects.
Whatever they are, Pep obviously has reasons for choosing the older, slower players.
So I agree he has let this happen, it did not have to be changed all at once like it has to be now, so he is at faultNot loving it but the team is in transition. KDB is 33, Gundogan 34. Bernardo 30 I think? The spine of the side is also injured. Had we started rebuilding a year ago, we might not have won the 4th league title.
That only applies to some of the team. Quite a few haven't been here that long, so shouldn't be burnt out. Otherwise, yes, some fans need to be a bit patient for the rebuild to happen.have been saying this all season.
We have injuries too and the old guard is not easily replaced. You are making it sound like an easy option to take. It isn't. We had a go in Jan. and now we need to see how those new signings develop.I do agree regarding the team,, but as uve said he is responsible for this no one else,, he's had the money to sort it if he wanted too but chose to stay with the old gaurd,
And In my opinion I would rather of gone with the team that faced liecester and got beat, at least that team would of had a go, and got in there faces, it's fking boring pal the shit he's churning out most off the time now.
He has watched this team age, he decided for the most part to carry on, and he decides the line ups
