Yes he spent money in Jan,,, so where the fuk were they yesrday,, yes that's it sat on the fking bench,,, expect marmoush,,, be honest, would that ageing midfield give you concerns yesterday,, would it fuk and you know it
I dont think those sat n the bench make any difference no..thats the issue....

Khusonov adds defensive pace and stability but nothing going forward...

Ive already said I would have played Nico instead of Kova but again does that make any real difference....no - he aint creative for starters

Reis aint ready to start - not even close
Marmoush did start and was pretty innaffective....

there is you January spend

No its not the midfield I would have played....but there is no one else to play...the only other alternatives were Sav and Doku - look what happened when doku came on - they had more attacks down that side of the pitch in 20 mins than they had the rest of the entire game so thats why he didnt start him...Sav - he is a kid and people are wanting too much from him - he has bright moments but his end product at present is pretty poor and defensively he is weak - the one thing Bernardo gave us yesterday was defensive cover...he snubbed out a number of utd attacks one way or another yesterday even in the last moments in the match -Sav doesnt do that.

Play Sav and Doku yesterday and we lose

Bobb is the only other and he is just coming off the back of a season long injury....he aint ready to start clearly.

Accept the fact that the quality of the squad aint there...whether on the pitch or on he bench

This is going to take 2/3 seasons to sort out.

This is far more than throwing cash at 5-6 new players and expecting us to challenge, that ain't happening.
This Summer is gonna be so difficult. We can’t seem to sign elite talent anymore so go for expensive gambles which have all failed since the treble.

Not finishing top 5 is gonna be a disaster for us. And all those players everybody wants out ain’t going anywhere with 12 months on their contracts remaining. They will all go out on loan like Walker with City paying half their wages.

Txiki and Pep have completely fucked it up. Madness to allow that £200m to be wasted in January which addressed none of the problems and madness to allow them to spend another £250m+ this Summer with Txiki going and Pep only having 2 years left.

Both should have left as legends this Summer.

but nobody will get them unless its a loan until contract expires. which is end of next season.

And with Stones/Shaw, you mean in total? as Shaw has only played 3 games or something daft since the euros last year
not sure on the stat - just heard it somewhere..could be bullshit.

Yes its a problem that no one will have them but hopefully their agents have been told to earn their corn and find them new clubs as we cant afford to have passangers....and thats sadly what they both are....

I really would hope that they could get back to fitness but everytime it looks like they are they break down...if Stones had been fit this year I think it makes a world of difference - he would have played the 6 role at least some of the time.

Sorry only one person being silly here. Like I said both are right it’s dependant on the view. City had 2 games against united where 6 points were available, got 1. 5 points lost, because of the results.United got 4 points from the available 6 but literally took 5 possible points available to City. Like I said it how you want to read it and perceive the statement. Neither of you are wrong in your views, they both are valid depending on points lost and points won.
Ok easty’s mum ;)

Ahh fairs, yeah was one of the commentary team on Sky that said it when Shaw was warming up.

I agree, we can't have passengers in the team, but will be harder to move them on if its not financial viable for the club/player.

If its plantar fasciitis with Stones like first suggested then I've had it on both feet, stopped me from running 4/5 times a week to now 2/3. Can be very painful

The game was admittedly poor but imagine the exact same game kick for kick except the on-target shots from each side had had gone in the net, same shots no difference except the respective goalkeepers didn't save them, final score 3-3 or whatever, the press would be hailing it as a classic.

Plantar fasciitis is a proper **** of a thing.

I had it for 3 months once and it was fucking horrendous. Woke up one morning and it had just “gone”. Fucking bizarre condition.

its come back on my right foot, painful to walk never mind run :-( Use some tape and heel wedges that have helped.

NHS were not helpful! glad your sorted though.

Fantastic post. There are some on here who come out with the line that Pep's paid £20m. a year so us 'armchair managers' have no basis or right to criticise him. But we all saw it and said it when that line-up was published at 3:30pm and our fears were fully justified. I don't recall anyone saying "That's a fantastic line-up which will slaughter them".

I said on Twitter that I watched the Leicester game on Wednesday and felt quite pleased that I was watching the nucleus of what's likely to be the future City team of the next few years. Alright, it was Leicester, but there were a number of younger players in the team who acquitted themselves well, plus Grealish had an excellent game.

Then he reverts to the line-up that someone described as a Cocoon tribute act, and we look completely toothless against a team in the bottom half that Palace put 2 past at Old Trafford not that long ago.
I too feared the worse when I saw the line up but what else could he have done.....the only changesI would have made was Nico for Kova (who was certainly better than Gundo, KDB and foden) and Khusonov for Nunes (who actually played quite well).
Grealish has been shit for ages - playing well once against an extremely poor Leicester team is not an argument for him to be playing him centrally in a derby match....he was also poor when he came on. There is a reason why Grelish over his time at city has rarely been played centrally....he aint good enough to do it

The only other options was Sav and Doku - Doku came on and suddenly Utd have more attacks down that side in 20 mins than they had all game. Savihno is full of tricks but little end product - he is also weak defensively - did you notice it was Bernardo Silva doing a lot of the mopiing up especially in the second half...one moment springs to mind was that he tracked a run in the last 10 mins of the game where he became last man and if the player had got passed him it would of been a one vs one on Ederson...Bernardo stopped that - Savinho doesnt

Now are these players good enough going forward - the older ones need to go -I agree on that...our whole midfield needs revamping but that has been obvious since the start of the season - against the likes of Leicester and a few others Pep will play the younger ones...against the better teams (Villa for instance) he may revert to the experience....

The one player ironically I wouldnt play again out of all of them is KDB - he needs to be on the bench and leave with his reputation intact as a legend.....

The rebuild is going to be huge...

thought it was a bak problem for Stones...could be wrong.

Play sav and doku and we gain an attacking threat,, and put kush back in switch O'Reilly to midfield along with Nico, Bobby to come on again do a cameo role, Grealish instead of Foden and yer know what we may of lost, but it would of been a damsight more exciting than the same old shite we saw again yesterday,, and playing that sort of team Marmoush naturally plays a better game

I had it and yes it is very painful. My poditarist gave me two exercises , the one that seemed to have the biggest effect, was to stand on the bottom step of a set of stairs. have something to hold onto. Stand on the step with just your toes and lower your heels doen as far as you can, without slipping off, for a count of 5 secs. repeat for a small number of times . gradually increasing the repetitions each time you carry out the execise. Cured mine within 10 days and it has never come back.

Credit to a couple, Nunes, Bernardo, Marmoush were up for the fight at least. But that was really shocking.

Might be looked back at as a great point, nowhere near our biggest missed opportunity of the season on paper, but that really hurt.

I can't believe that rat Fernandes was the best player on the pitch on a Derby (by a mile).
Thought Casemiro was miles better than Fernandes

If that did happen, you'd have the usual furious bellsniffs on here screaming that Pep wasn't pragmatic enough.
