United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

If Pep does go he leaves us in a worse position squad wise than when he arrived, I can’t see him wanting to leave with a whimper, a rebuild for next season and hopefully get the title back and then he will go.

agree, we need to be carefull were not overstocked with players who we thought could make the grade but cant, wharton would be a gamble thats unlikely to pay off, we have to go for proven players, champions lg stock quality, it will cost more sure but there is less risk, were looking at unloading what could be up to 7/8 players so the maths say around a 5/600 million pound spend if permited by FFP
We've already got plenty of excellent players - we just need to fuckin' play them, instead of the ageing crocks and shite - spent £200m in January but saw only 1 of those players yesterday - Marmoush. I'm afraid that the manager is the problem currently.

We used to suffer with Cityitis; now we've got "Emperor's new clothes" syndrome.

If Haaland’s fit, all 200M is on the bench

It’s less about the drop off in terms of short term severity, it’s the longevity. He’s earned the right to have at least one off season just as some of the players have.

There’s quite a big difference between what Hughes had done previously in his career for us and others compared to Pep too…
I agree that he should have another season to sort out this mess but people are acting like there will be a massive drop off if he leaves but that drop off is already here. A massive drop off from here is relegation form

Comparing Mark fucking loser Hughes to Pep Centurion Treble winner 4 Domestic Quad and 4 n a row Guardiola ! I give up and will ban myself you fucking numpty .
Clearly the point is lost on you. Only a fucking idiot would think I'm comparing Pep and Hughes

People are saying that if he leaves there will be a huge drop off. My point is the last 5 months the standard has been worse than what we sacked off a piss poor manager in Hughes for. How can a drop off be massive considering what our last half a season has been?

It was so boring I fell asleep before the start of the 2nd half. Looks like I didn't miss much. As soon as I seen the dad's army midfield I knew it would be a snooze fest

It's definitely the most turgid boring football I've watched us play in years. It's bizarre how poor we've been in all key areas this season.

Ederson
Khush Ruben Josko Nico O
Nico G
Gundo

Nunes Marmoush Savinho

McAtee

On the bench
Stefan Borson
Reis
kdb
Jack
Mubama
Echeverri

Nothing is worse that watching a combination of foden, gundo and Silva. It is better playing youth then. We are going to miss the CL spot regardless. Sowhy waste time with players that won’t be here next season or need a break from football
Team is wildly open mate and McAtee up top?

Never before has such a nothing game produced so many pages. Weird thing is I don't even think most united fans rates their current team as highly as Pep seemed to. Quite simply not going too win many games only playing 3 attackers - one of whom is out of form and another one whose feet are a second or two behind his brain. It's not rocket surgery. Pep must wake up in a cold sweat thinking about some of the goals we have given away this season

The rags parked the bus - a team too frightened to attack us. The rags at home in a low block - 'low block' being Amorim's own words. At least we attacked - and no we didn't do it successfully. Rags' tactics - rugby tackle our players if they take the ball past theirs. Their chances only seemed clear cut because our instinct to attack left us vulnerable when we gave the ball away. Our defence dealt with the rags' counter attacks pretty well. And yes, our side of a year ago would have mauled that rags eleven. The rags' pathetic performance was inexcusable. As already mentioned, at least we tried to attack.

Sorry I hate the fuckers with a passion but only one side looked like scoring yesterday and it was not us.

Spot on.

Too much negativity on here about our display. If Phil puts that relatively easy chance away where he should have hit it first time 12 yards out and we win 1-0 it’s the consummate away performance and everyone’s cock a hoop.

We’re not the all conquering dream team of years gone by and we should rate how well we’ve played based on our current level. On that basis it’s fair to say that it was a good hard earned point from a very tricky away fixture without our top scorer and far and away our best player.

Casemiro diving to cheat a penalty out of his Madrid best mate Kovacic shows what underhanded despicable cheating c@nts they are

They didnt park the bus and we didnt attack.
Teams let us have possession, sideways pass after sideways pass, going no where with it, til we inevitably lose the ball and they hit us with speed. We are so predictable
They are the worse rag team ive seen in my 51 years and they had 4/5 chances to score. I dont recall one for us

I'm not so sure the negativity on here is about the display, it was more about the approach, this was a Manchester derby with no desire no passion and 2 teams that din't want to win badly enough, they cuddled each other more than they tackled one and other.
I do agree with most who watched the game though,it was also an awful watch the fans and, for a club/business/leauge that is promoting entertainment as it main selling point it was a promotional disaster.
