I like a lot of that but if you go through our squad....who is truly world class or potential

Haaland, Rodri, Donarumma....

Who else is world class or potential....Cherki? - maybe, Foden - maybe

The rest....? I dont see it..some good players in Doku, Khusonov but that is is....

Semenyo will be a good prem league player but never world class, reijnders isnt suited to our league. Doku as with Semenyo

rico Lewis is a championship player and RAN is a lower prem level fullback at most. Dias is decent but not top level and Gvardiol has potential to go either way - there is a focus issue with him

we can add Guehi to this but its just presumption to say he will be - we all hope he is

We will be down there with them in a few years at this rate. We shouldn't be too arrogant to think it can't happen.

They're proof of a once dominant side and massive club not getting recruitment right and their dominance coming to an end to the point of not even being contenders.

We're on that exact same path if we don't get it right in the next year.
 
I'm always there to defend Pep and think he has proved that he is, by some distance, the greatest manager in the world.
But just as he deserves massive credit for everything he has achieved he deserves criticism when it looks like this. . Yes we are missing players, but we also had a squad including players like Donnarumma, Rodri, Haaland, Bernardo, Foden, Semenyo, Doku, Cherki, O'Reilly, Ait-Nouri, O'Reilly and could despite that not create anything in attack while having a non existent defense.
Shambolic on every level from individual player performances to tactical approach.
 
Where to even start with that…

Yes we have injuries, but why start with a side that wasn’t the strongest our squad today would allow? Why not start O’Rielly or Ait Nouri? Ake at left back was a disaster waiting to happen, he’s finished at this level and it was as plain as day the were going to break forward quickly. Rico Lewis wasn’t even nearly good enough at any point. Alleyne gets a bit of a pass, he’s been back a week. Khus did better than any of them and Donna was great.

Beyond that, why the fuck did Doku refuse to run at them? Why didn’t we give Semenyo the chance to run at shaw? Both fullbacks on bookings and we don’t have a go. What was our plan today? How can we be so lethargic and unbothered? Forget that it’s a derby, that was fucking pathetic from start to finish. No fight, 2nd in absolutely every department. They were faster, more committed, more aggressive. We switched off time and time again.

How can we have players earning six figures a week that are unable to put a corner in, or a free kick? Absolutely baffles me. I can take a corner, what the fuck are they playing at?

Haaland? He should be handing his wages back this month. He did absolutely fuck all. Again. We created nothing and ultimately we deserved fuck all.

Pep didn’t have a clue. I’m properly fucked off with him today.

We’re so fucking arrogant, we’re predictable, we’re half-arsed and that’s not acceptable for a club that spends what we do. I don’t give a fuck that we can put a cricket score on a league 2 team in the cup. I cannot stand lack of effort, nothing makes me angrier.

Haaland only performed with the greatest ever midfielder in PL feeding him.
 
I can take getting beat, even against them, as long as everyone puts a shift in. That was absolutely disgusting.

Back 4 issues doesn't help, but we got bullied all over the pitch for 90mins. Haaland getting outfought by Martinez. I think any half decent team with a press would have done the same to us today. That really could have been 6 or 7. Three tight VARS go out way, early let off hitting the bar and if it wasn't for Donnarumma would have been more.

Meanwhile, their keeper has the easiest afternoon he's had all season, not a save to make watching us fanny around for 2 mins before losing possession and getting countered.

A shocking performance from minute one.

The goals were embarrassing. 10 seconds from our free kick into their box and then another example of Rico not being able to defend the post. How many times?

And both their fullbacks on yellows after 15 mins (should have been red, but the rot had already set by then) and dont attack the lines and draw fouls. Braindead.

When you're making Diogo Dalot even slightly resemble a professional footballer you know it's been a bad day. And even worse still when it turns out hes not even the worst right back on the pitch.

Serious questions need to be asked of Pep in his ability to manage and motivate this team any longer, how the fuck can he not motivate them to play in a derby and to stay in the 'title race'? Not one of them looked like they wanted to be on the pitch. Thats beyond angering and moves it into something hugely worrying.

That lot were booed off after drawing against fucking wolves less than a month ago and we dont test their keeper once from open play in 90 mins and were lucky it didn't finish 5 or 6.

That is truly as bad as it gets and arguably even worse than anything last year. Absolutely fucking shameful.
 
No point scapegoating individual players after that, we played badly as a team and they were much better than us today. We were never in the game, never looked like scoring, always looked like conceding. We have to suck it up, feel down for a couple of days, move on. The league looks unlikely, we’re probably in one final, two others to play for. But that was horrible for sure.
 
The Carrick/Middlesborough curse again, Pep and the players should be ashamed of themselves. Outmuscled, out fought and out coached by a smog monster

they were far better than us today so I suggest you focus on us as there is a lot tht needs to be better. ....losers focus on others...winners focus on where they can get better
