United (A) Post Match Thread

So you still won t admit you said Sane was introduced at 1-0, therefore he had no impact on the game. Ha ha. Pep was wrong not to play Sane. Admit it and finish this conversation. Have a nice day ahead!
There’s nothing to “admit”, I was clearly incorrect, I don’t think it’s difficult to tell.

And no, if anything, it shows Pep was absolutely correct to have the option to change the tempo and let the league’s fastest player run at tired legs.

However, right or wrong, and I’m sure we will continue to disagree, what’s the fucking point in wetting your knickers at half time (after we’d finished the much stronger of the two teams), throwing your dummy out of the pram, writing off our title chances and making a cock of yourself, only to end up crying about bullying when someone calls you out on it?

Pep said after the match that he was not planning to bring Sane so early, he was forced by Ferns injury. Whatever is happening between Pep and Sane needs to stop now. We need Sane. Him and Sterling form the best pair of wingers in the world. This is what I think and I want to be able to expres it on here without someone calling me an idiot. Am I asking to much?
That’s not just what you said though is it.

i always think of basil fawlty when pep does that lol

This is going in the archives.

There was a shot during the game of the Norwegian one seemingly talking to/staring at an empty seat while stood next to it then the picture cut to baconface looking on from the stands I had no sound on but it was funny as fuck at least someone had a sense of humour at Sky.

He's gone full Jamie Paradise there the back 4 that kept a clean sheet consisted of a "shaky" Walker on one side and a Zinchenko who "struggled with the pace" on the other. In the middle we had Kompany who endured a "torrid evening" and Laporte who "couldn't handle Rashford". Compare that with his description of a midfield who spent most of the game chasing shadows Pogba "good and positive" Fred "composed and classy" and Pereira who was "cultured".

Imagine if all that is true though? Think how far behind their standards have fallen if all our players played shit and all theirs were terrific, and they still got a shellacking!!

I did like this line in Football365's 16 things column:

"But it did feel like City were the unwitting babysitters placed in charge of an unruly child full of sugar. They had been unsettled and unnerved by United’s fast-paced start and were eventually content with letting them tire themselves out before using a slightly stricter voice, imposing more rules and taking control of the situation."
