Where to begin? Some serious money has been wasted on Rodri and Cancello and to a lesser extent Mahrez and Mendy.

The worrying thing is we again need a major rebuild unless we settle for being a top four side with the odd league cup thrown in.

To play the style Pep wants we need pacey accomplished defenders and we have one, Laporte, Walker on his day but I did say accomplished. The jury is out on Ederson too. Nice passer but he can't keep on letting soft goals in like that. At times he looks in a fucking daydream.

In midfield we have Kev. Phil might come good but who is going to be as good as Merlin? Mahrez is hit and miss, more the latter and Bernardo and Sterling are bang average at the moment and have been all season. Gundogan and Rodri are too slow. There are small signs Aguero is starting to show his age, even so he is our best forward.

Today Pep got the tactics and formation all wrong and the players were going through the motions until the last 25 minutes. A thought on Ederson, did leaving him out the last two games mean he was rusty?

To be beaten three times by the worst United team I have seen in years is an utter disgrace and some players need to show some fight and bollocks and realise what this game means to the fans.

A massive reboot is needed in the summer and we better pray we overturn that ban or we could slip to a top six side.

I may be being over pessimistic but this season has proved concerns I had about certain players to be worryingly true.

Fernandinnho has a lot to do with it in covering a shed load of space and alot of donkey work. It frees up the rest of the midfield to attack. Rodri is a completely different player and we are suffering because of it.

Agreed, To play that position, you need quick feet,!Rodri’s a good player, but Fred Astaire he ain’t, takes an age to get the ball out of his feet,title acceleration, we need a different type of player there.

The fact is we look like a busted flush as a team and a huge rebuild is needed. If Pep won't commit to a contract extension then in my view him sticking around for just one more season will do more harm than good.

I would be more worried about the ease in which people wander nah walk past the tank Rodri. Unless he is in a back 3 he kills us to often.

Remain to be convinced about Rodri,one thing for sure is he should never play with Gundogan, but I’ll give him into next season but Gundogan I was pissed when he signed his contract extension despite his performances at the end of last season

Don’t know what more is there to say about Sterling. Form has fallen off a cliff but he has improved since his injury. The biggest issue is yet again him missing absolute sitters. That was a criminal miss that I would only expect shit players like Manure’s to miss.

If Sane wasnt on his bike a the end of the season Id say get him back in but he will be not up for it and totally uncomitted.

Forget the goalkeeping errors, that’s all on Pep. Yet again he fucks around with a baffling lineup in a big game and it goes wrong yet again. Anybody figure out our plan first half? We had 1 shot and couldn’t get the ball near their box so unless it was to simply have our defenders play keep ball and hope not to fuck up im struggling to see one. This is why we won’t win the champions league, he can’t help himself, it’s almost as if he has to prove he’s smarter than everyone in the big ties when simply doing what we’ve been doing for the last 3 years would be better. Well he’s been bested by a Norwegian coach driver that failed miserably at Cardiff 3 times in one season now, if that doesn’t say stop fucking around to him, nothing will.

After the subs we looked better but we still didn’t create much, mahrez was dangerous and should have started. Didn’t need two holding players when all they do is play it long down the channels and just ignore that area of the pitch, you arguably don’t even need 1 yet we played 90 minutes with two. Actually think gundogan played alright first half it was his position rather than his performance that was the issue. Foden was more involved centrally but we needed both him and Bernardo in there. We were playing with a man light all game with Sterling on the pitch. Criminal how he didn’t get dragged off at halftime nevermind get another anonymous 90 minutes. Mahrez has every right to be pissed off at being benched when he’s seeing Sterling play game after game and do literally nothing.

Like to end on a positive but the single positive I can find from that is Cancelo had a decent game.
