United (A) Post Match Thread

Potter or Rodgers would be their best bet but I see them going for a bigger name like Zidane if they sack Ole.

The one thing I’ll say about Brighton and Leicester is that they are both well coached sides. They have a plan and patterns to their game which is why they are decent sides to watch. I also think that is why Pep rates them so highly as well.

I suppose the big question mark would be whether they can handle big egos. If they can, then they’d be a good replacement for managers at any of the top PL clubs.

i been thinking about the mess united are in and what is the quality of the squad and manager and come up with ?
manchester city liverpool cheslea are better run clubs with better managers and players its that simple.
now how many players out there are good enough to get in the city chelsea liverpool team and available if any of the 3 clubs wanted them its very little

so maybe its a bigger mess than it looks right now and no way back for united
no matter how much money they throw at it the top 3 clubs would be still miles ahead and would keep ahead with one or two new signings each season.

just look at this
Aké Sterling Grealish Zinchenko Steffen Fernandinho Mahrez Palmer all on the bench today for city and not needed
the 8 players plus 3 from the youth team that played in the league cup would still give united a game and could beat them that's how far in front we are

Thats fine, whatever you like, I just don’t get those that make a big deal of Man City, as if it’s a new thing to be feared.
I just despise those cunts getting the full “Manchester” in a title where we don’t.

we play there, they don’t.

If it was Man City vs Man Utd I wouldn’t care.

I'm a man city fan, and have been since the 60's, when has it not been a thing?

let the media tag us with whatever they like ? us manchester city fans know because we have blue blood running through our body. also there is no need to promote manchester city as a mancunian club because we have a postal address that states we are from manchester

I haven’t been there in a while. Last time I went I got the supporters coach and had to get across the left to right moving scum fan traffic from the coach park. An absolute disgrace having away fans try and get the the stadium entrance by crossing the home support flow of fans......a fair few trying to kick you as you pass but I was wise to this and had worn boots so gave as good as I got. Then the police penning us in at the stadium entrance...like I said, disgrace and haven’t been since.
Were you there in 74?

The interesting thing about this debate is that Chelsea, City and Liverpool are all well oiled machines whereas United are a team of individuals.

As Tuchel proved at Chelsea, a top class manager can quickly reverse the fortunes of a club.

IMO, so long as we have Pep we will maintain our dominance over them and when we get a top class striker, the gap between us will grow.

I’m not advocating swapping our current players for theirs. I simply think there is some potential in those players and Pep could get a tune out of them.
They have got some good players who are vastly underachieving, you don’t pay those sort of prices if they are shit. Pep would do far better with that team than OGS and, to be fair, anybody would do better than the current incumbent.

Thats why we have the SOO thread, Blues know that the United team is better than the sum of its parts.

United have chosen to pay high prices for shit players. High prices doesn’t mean they have to be good!

Not had a chance to run through the thread but, having been to the game, there’s one thing I’ve got to credit the rags for. The walk towards the stadium and the area surrounding it is intimidating as fuck. They haven’t lost the old school feel in the surrounding area with the pubs and chippys on Matt Busby way.

Granted, it’s a side-product of their owners having zero interest in the redevelopment of the area (noticed a fair bit of wasteland and dereliction adjacent to the ground), but it’s a positive all the same.

I hate the walk in, I hate the walk out. Hasn’t changed in the 15 or so years since I first went to OT.

Loved the two hours inside though :-)

Are you Graham Norton?

"Worse than the Liverpool game, they toyed around with us, this was a training session today"...

Our fantastic support supplied the soundtrack to their misery!

That singing from our away fans was amazing on that video and fair dos to the rag hosting it, he took it on the chin with a wry smile. Their situation looks hopeless and to help him say “this club is finished” was music to my ears (like our fans!)
