United (A) | Post Match Thread

So on reflection, one of the things that was most worrying was that after we scored we couldn't control the game at all - it all became very chaotic, and looked very like the Southampton match all over again.

No they will be about 10 infront of us
Yep, their upturn in form reminds me of us first season under Guardiola. We always knew they wouldn't be shite forever. At last their bald fraud is yet to annoy me as much as Klipperty does.

Only one thing to do, combat it. We need to buck up our ideas

It was an awful performance,it cant be described as anything else.

The first half was abysmal, the second marginally better but there was a distinct lack of purpose, rythym and tenacity.Pep's tactics are well off and his in game management was piss poor.

Rodri was MOTM,Akanji and Ake also did ok in the main. The rest......various shades of under par.

Something is off....whether that is the manager, the sytem, the players or something else....its needs sorting.

Only 7 shots on target in our last 3 PL games. Also 0 v Southampton in the midweek cup game. Our slow Tippy, tippy possession, pass it sideways football has had its day, games moved on to pace and energy, we have neither.
Beat City tactics, just defend and hit on counter/wait for one of 15 times they give the ball away cheaply errors and if it’s on target, it’s a goal.

Didn't we have a strong penalty claim as well?
It was forensically analysed by VAR for a good 5 seconds before we all moved on. Comme try team then said something about Howard Webb and not wanting to get VAR involved in decisions too much.

City didn't play bad today, bad call stiffed us, a point there is never terrible, but we are struggling to create chances for Haaland and seems to have made us one dimensional.

VAR didn’t give the goal. Attwell did.
No ref should be giving that goal from just the live play.

The lino clearly flagged for starters and var should at least have referred atwell to the monitor, as it was I suspect they just whispered in his ear that there was no offside issue.

Even by keeping quiet var have conciously made that decision, and like I said, no one else gets it given.

Rules are there to be manipulated at the moment, fans will get fed up though, and no amount of "evening it up" is gonna wash with true footy fans.

Having said that, the tv companies who now own football would be happy to just cater for the teams with the most armchair supporters, so it could be a dark period coming up.

Your correct I did.
It was your post calling city fans shite I was replying too.
Was it just today you think city fans are shite ?
No worries.
I didn't say City fans ARE shite, I just thought we were today compared to the usual away support and considering it was a derby.

Klopp is a **** but a fantastic manager. Currently his Dipper side are getting battered by Brighton and are 8th.
The same side was close to a quad last season.
