Yes, but they look for 'clear and obvious error' mate - not to offer opinion
There was a clear and obvious error, the Lino flagged offside because ragford interfered with the passage of play whilst being 33,000 miles offside.. non bent Ref goes to the monitor to overrule the Lino, if he’s not happy with the reason for the flag, then agrees he’s right…
This decision was 100% bent…!

As the dust is settling I think we need to give the team a break. They have been at 100% for years inc pep. They are physically & mentally exhausted.

Mistakes are being made
Energy is down
Few new players needed.

Top 4 finish
Good Champs league run
Fa cup

All I ask for this season.
I'd love to get our hands on the fa cup again.

Gutted! But we only had ONE attempt on target in a high profile clash & therein lies the foundation of yesterday's gut-wrenching defeat.

As for "THAT GOAL", no one disagreed that Rashford was offside, but it was interpreted by the ref, his assistant & VAR that he "wasn't interfering with play, nor did he touch the ball, so the goal stood".

The same scenario with & without Rashford? I'll leave this right here. Make up your own minds...

This is the clearest proof ever, I’m still so angry and disgusted we have been cheated so effectively

In total control of the game until the referee gives the Rags a goal , the second goal was amateur hour defending , not the first and certainly not the last time a red 'istree club gets a decision to turn a game around , we know football hierarchy and media do not want us around winning trophies , they want the cash cow football clubs to be succesful.
Having stated the above , we were still well below our standards yet again , the fact the Rags scraped a lucky win and the media will be blowing smoke up their arses , will only add to their utter disappointment when it all comes crashing down.
We are made of sterner stuff , but it could be this season we put all our resources into the Champs league its what our owners and Pep really desire , in the meantime Pep needs to weed out the players who are obviously not responding to him and his management methods , expect a squad overhaul for 23/24 season

He is running in line with akanji towards the ball, obstructing his view and actually meaning he would need to go round. Look at the space between the ball and bruno, if rashford is not there the ball is dealt with by either keeper or defender comfortably. There is no way to sugarcoat this one, if
VAR look for 'clear and obvious error' - they do not attempt to make decisions for the Ref' - this decision is based on Atwell's 'opinion' (subjectively) - it's not a right or wrong thing - purely opinion - if he had decided it was off, that would have stood too - he's the Ref.
I seem to remember a clear and obvious error against Tottenham a few years ago after the ref had subjectively given a goal.

Couldn't tell from our end how close they were but linesman flagged immediately both times, suppose it saves var wasting any time to add to the 1 minute we got.
Yeah, funny how Phil being potentially fractionally offside needs to be flagged immediately, but Rashford being 10 yards offside needs to be allowed to play on to see “if” he interferes with play.

Your opening statement is a downright lie. Your first response to me was, it’s your opinion, not a fact.

Why should I put you on ignore? A flip flopping idiot who can’t recall what he typed yesterday is highly entertaining. I know you wouldn’t lose any sleep. Those on the edge of spectrum’s rarely do.
No it's not. The poster i replied to said that something along the lines of that something was a fact...hence why I wrote " if you want yo start talking about facts"........

I've not changed my response once from yesterday. Goal within the rules....rules are ambiguous and vague and therefore need to be changed.

Calling someone am idiot just makes you look ....Well I'll let you decide that

That's what should be clearly identified in a letter of protest. Swiftly followed by you cheating scum bags.

This is the clincher that it was a dishonest decision. How could Atwell overule the linesman, who had a much better view of what happened, without at least looking at the monitor. An honest referee can make a mistake and all he has to do to cover his back is check the replay. Some decisions stand out for decades as bent and this is one of them.

Stop reading.
Yep because you say so, you think all is good, I know the team have issues this season and we are not learning from them, I forgot guardiola is a demi god and beyond criticism, so you keep your everything is rosey in the garden blue glasses on

Starting to get a little annoyed about how our players and manager once again is telling everyone how incredible proud they are over our performance, that we deserved to win, that we played great etc etc. We just lost to a rags side that is levels below us in quality and only managed 1 single shot on target. We have 2 wins in our last 5 PL games and I would like to hear how thats not good enough, this is unacceptable etc etc. If you really played that well, you wouldnt need to tell everyone you did. If this is what they consider to be "playing great" then I'm really worried about where this season is headed. I was hoping someone would step up and have a Fernandinho style intervention meeting about our poor performances lately, but instead what I hear is "I'm proud of the team today" after losing to a team we scored 6 on the last time.

Pep is the best in the business and he will sort this out eventually. But I'm not liking the attitude or determination I see on the pitch, or hear in interviews from this team at the moment. We need to change things up in the squad more than usual in the summer.

No, it can be on the players.

I don't think for one minute Pep doesn't want them to play Erling in. Of course he wants them to be accurate with the passing and not give the ball away but the man is no fool. Pep knows you can't be successful with every pass / cross in the final third and he tries to get the players to be positioned to manage transitions to deal with that eventuality.

Whetehr Pep is emphasising enough to the players that they should take more risks, we don't know. Kev, who is our main creator, gives the ball away plenty trying things so I think the issue lies more with the players.

Also, teams are simply making it very difficult for City, they are often well organised, highly committed and defending in such numbers that it is really tough for our players to play people in.

City have a puzzle to solve and it's not an easy one. Part of me thinks we may need to do something radical and change several of our players in order to allow Pep to produce a new variant of his basic model of football, which I still believe is a good one and definitely one I favour.
I think Pep has certain tolerances for certain players. He won't allow all midfield to take risks , thats way too risky. Calculated risk allows KDB that freedom. Proble. Comes when oppo knows this and works like mad to close KDB down. Sacrifice space so when when say Bernie or Foden get it they feel restricted in playing that type of ball.
