The first half of our league cup game at old Trafford is one of the most one sided games of football I've ever seen. We let them off the hook in the second half and allowed them to get back in the tie, we were then very wasteful in front of goal in the return leg despite being much the better team.

If we play our usual game I think we'll have too much for them, but my concern is more around team selection. Given we aren't going to win the league I'd much prefer us to prioritise this game over the midweek one against Arsenal, full strength today please Pep.

Yeah, it was an absolute massacre that first half. They'll be a lot stronger in midfield this time though with McTominay and Fernandes instead of Perreira and Lingard.

Think if De Bruyne starts we'll win, but got a feeling he won't be risked with bigger games ahead.
