United away - pre-match thread

Pep will be doing his homework over the break and will leave no stone unturned for this game, he will study how they have set up over the first games, and let's not forget he knows ibrahimovich's game and how to combat that and also remember he did fuck all for PSG against us last year in both legs, and PSG for me are a better side than united.

Also they haven't played a team yet that has stretched their back line, and were actually quite lucky to get the win against a Hull side lacking depth.

It is going to be a cracking game and I think we will shut them up in the swamp.

Edited- fuck them changing the score, going for 8-1 City win and let's smash em

In our 5 competive game so far this season, we have scored a different amount in each game, 1,2,3,4 and 5 goals (not in that order of course). Seems like we're going to put six past them again then :)

I have interpolated, extrapolated, programmed my ZX Spectrum with probability theory and run a complex algorithm through it.

I think it could be seven.

(or nil..)

They don't have Fellaini (good news- shit footballer but a nuisance) so their midfield 2 will be Pogba and Herrera, neither of whom are known for their defensive prowess, and Rooney, Mata and Martial don't offer much cover either- not to mention Ibrahimovic, who's motto is 'If you can't score it, ignore it'. I think we win this by overloading the midfield and keeping possession. Mangala can be ready on the bench as an easy antidote to Ibrahimovic if needed ;)
Don't think Aguero will be banned on the basis that the referee saw it at the time and didn't take action, meaning it's very difficult for the FA to overrule his decision. If he is I'd play Nolito as a false 9, with Nasri on the left. This also assumes that Bravo is ready to play.

Bravo
Sagna Otamendi Stones Kolarov
Fernandinho
Gundogan Silva
Sterling Aguero Nolito

Caballero, Clichy, Kompany, Fernando, De Bruyne, Sané, Iheanacho

Of course at least one of these will get injured in the 11 full days between then and now, but Nasri, Delph, Touré, A. García, Angelino, Maffeo, Denayer, Clichy and more are waiting in the wings.

Shaw and Valencia won't know what's hit 'em when Nolito and Sterling get firing. I think Mourinho's instructions will be clear- stay back and defend, do not lose. He must be tired of losing to Pep by now. West Ham tried staying back and defending first half yesterday, and Sunderland did too. Didn't work out for them.

United 1-3 City

Aguero
Nolito
Mata
Aguero

Think Pep's tactics will win us the game. Let's extend that gap at the top. Chelsea loss would make it a perfect weekend, cheers Swansea.

The scum have scraped through every one of their games , yet we have outplayed every team we have played , Bravo will be an upgrade on Willy in goal ,we will also have a very strong bench with Vinny , Gundogan , Sane all fit , so a lot of positives .But we all know how low these f*ckers will stoop to gain any advantage , Aguero will be hammered for the next few days for decapitating Reid , and PEG will start his little war of words with Pep , along with every ex- Rag pundit , looking forward to this , their bubble is about to be burst.

I bet rooneys mate mark gets the gig,we will have to fall over like they do,that new player micatarian dived twice in thier last game, they will do that all game

so it appears bog brush has a back injury despite playing the 90 minutes of the last game, no apparent injury as he left the field, peg is drumming up mind games just as he did at chelsea, don't believe a word of it

Imagine another 3 points at the swamp what a start that will be with Gundogan Kompany Sane and Bravo all to come in.

In Pep we trust hopefully he bullies Mourinho and gives him another lesson again tactically.

Bravo & Gundogan to make their debuts.

Both fit Pep's style of play & they will improve us. Would expect Gundogan to play from the start but only play an hour or so.

Could this be the match we see Fernandinho start at right back?

Mourinho will play for the draw, everyone behind the ball apart from big nose up front. They'll hoof long balls up to him and hope to sucker punch us.
