I hope so, but out of experience, when you go on a run, and it's lasts for so long, sometimes the most refreshing and stabalising thing for a team is just to get that monkey off their back, and break the run.
Today, from what I saw, they looked physically and mentally tired, and I just think that the worst time you can play any of those top experienced teams is when they're hurting, and we all know that fergie will have them wound up for the derby, at home.

You learn more from your losses than you ever do from winning. Their form has dipped, it was gotten worse and picked back up again, they've been excellent, they've been shit, and everything in between, just like every other team, but they still managed to get the win, they didn't today.
I would have rathered we broke their winning spell, because it was coming, we could all see it, I think we would have had a better chance of beating them if they went in unbeaten than we do now.

To be honest mate this unbeaten run should not have lasted this long, they have played badly in many games and won...more by luck than anything else..but luck is a major factor in any game,without it you get nowt..
If it is the luck thats deserted them.then theyre ours for the taking.

To be fair, I don't think it was all luck, it wasn't. Luck will get you a couple of points but going unbeaten for this long, I think, is down to a team I very much underestimated, one of the worst group of United players I've seen in a long time, but it seems that makes an excellent team.
It was their ability to play absolutely shite, but still have that callibre of player and belief in the squad for someone to turn up and get a few goals for them.

We've been poor, we've been leaking goals, our keepers been off form, our play has left much to be desired, we've looked like a team with a bunch of players on the pitch all playing for themselves. We've our own problems to worry about, so as much as I'd love to sit back and enjoy this, I think we've a lot to worry about.
So I can't say with confidence that they're "ours for the taking" when we've been so poor. So I think we should spend time worrying about getting our house in order rather than criticising theirs.

This could just as easily be a dip in form which gets worse before it gets better as thats what most dips do..

Giddy for the derby already. Usually don't feel it until in the week at least. The match itself will probably be boring, but that never matters on derby day.

If there's any time the rags should have beaten us based on mindset and how the game was framed it was at the swamp 3 years ago this month.

Fact is United or any other team aren't some mytical beings that will win every game through cunning use of psychology. Two teams play each other, and of course we could win.

Yes, while I can see why people are happy, I am slightly worried, if they'd stayed unbeaten, managed somehow to scrap it, we were going to go in against a tired but careless United team, now we'll be going in against a refreshed team with a point to prove as such after getting, no doubt, an earful of Fergie. So now they're wounded, and who best to take it out on? Our lovely selves.
We've a keeper who is off form, a defence that has been leaking goals left right and centre, and while it was great to win today, besides the fact that they lost 3 points, I think this was the worst possible timing. Now it could be that they loose themselves completely and aren't able to get back into that winning run but I don't see it, their manager is too good, their mentality is too good, and their players are too good. So while, for sentimental reasons it was nice to see, and I'm sure people will enjoy it at work on Monday, winding the neighbours up, they still have a game in hand, and like I said, their loss couldn't have any worse timing in my opinion.
