United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

For what it's worth I think you mods do a decent job. We only get to see the posts that make it, there must be plenty of absolute shite that gets stopped.

People overreact to comments. If we're in the thread we're probably not at the game, so calling a player shit etcetera if they miss a chance or cock up is just a reaction to what happened, not actually meaning the player is shit. They can't hear us so it's not going to effect their performance or confidence. It's just fans expressing their frustration or joy in real time as it happens on their TV or stream. The same as fans shouting "Get behind the lads!" etcetera. Again they can't hear us.

Being at a game live and watching it on TV are totally different, as is following it in the forum. Live you can get behind the team and hopefully spur them on. Online we're all just shouting into a void. Good for releasing frustration and tension but nothing else really.
You must see a bit of an issue when you come on every week having to defend the shite being posted in the match forum.
Frustration? It’s fucking barmy some of the stuff posted, that’s not frustration it’s fucked up.

Just flicked through that, quite funny and as others have said disturbing, a drill??? Really?? . There are clearly quite a few villages missing their idiots.

The gormless fella with over a million followers hilariously thought utd were robbed and was astounded his team lost. My only conclusion from that is that he knows zero about football. Lol.

Also the Chinese fella with the teddies in shirts. Hahaha
That flying pig fella is even more obnoxious than Goldbridge and that's saying something! And as for his drill antics, pity the plastic rag muppet didn't give himself a lobotomy.

True. Its an interesting concept, if you could choose to take the extra minutes or not depending on which side has done the most illegal timewasting. Ah well, i guess we'll have to stick with the current system of "red team gets extra minutes depending on current score".
or do the system of stopping the clock when a team is time wasting, why they choose not to do this can be seen in the forest liverpool game, if their was an independent timekeeper who stopped the clock as and when, for substitutes, injuries etc then it couldnt be arbitrarily decided how much to add on and which team it would benefit.

Time is a finite and absolute thing and this situation could be easily resolved, the reasons why they choose not to are the same reasons they choose not to have the uefa offside system in that it limits their ability to manipulate games.
