Won’t be popular to post but he’s not wrong

Gary Neville: “These #ManCity players have won four, five, six Premier League titles - they’ve kept going, they’ve been so consistent, so reliable! They’ve played every summer, every competition it feels like - fifty, sixty, seventy games a season. They’ve grown together and hit a wall together, they’re picking up injuries, they’ve lost their legs together, they’ve lost their confidence together. It’s just PERSPECTIVE! I’m sure in the dressing room, Pep Guardiola is reminding them that these are serial champion players. You CANNOT sit here and say it’s a disgrace, a joke - these are players who have achieved SO MUCH and they’ve just hit a wall together!”

Maybe the players should all assemble at the Etihad Campus tomorrow, walk on to one of the training pitches, gather round the centre circle and let their feelings about those not pulling their weight be known in no uncertain terms. Then have a fucking big dust up, sort out who's who and what's what because we're not seeing any fight during the games itself. We need leaders, not necessarily the best players, but the best motivators.

Those not prepared to fight for the team, fuck off now please. I'd rather lose fighting like a cornered tiger than roll over like a sheep. Arses need to be kicked, some players need to sit in a room of mirrors and have a good look at themselves. It's not good enough, nowhere near good enough.

At the moment we're like a fucking hapless wildebeest wallowing around in the mud waiting for the safari to come along and finish us off. Let's not make it easy for them to do that.
I would imagine something like this has already taken place.

Seen worse over the last 40 years - a blip in comparison
What has that got to do with us being shit decades ago? We didn't have the best manager in the world, with a squad full of great players, being the best run club in the world either. It is all relative and yes the shit times were shit, that doesn't mean this is then ok? Such a shit small time mentality

Some City fans need this and to understand this. Not often I would agree with Neville put he is spot on

This actually has precedent!

I remember reading an interview with Alan Hill, Frank Clark’s assistant manager, not long after they joined the club in 1997 - they used to call this a “fish and chip day” - everyone get together, no-holds-barred airing of views, speaking freely and get things out in the open.

I forget the exact verbatim of the article now, and forget whether he was talking about at City or in their previous job at Forest, but basically they had a fish and chip day, went on a long winning run and then hit a dip. Had another fish and chip day and went on another long unbeaten run.

As the interviewer in the article said - “I’d better give you directions to the nearest chippy, then!”

Hate to agree with him because he’s such a twat but he is 100% correct.

You think Sheikh Monsour and khaldoon will stand by and accept failure?? Hell no they Wil act. And just don’t say spend spend spend. Anyone can come up with that solution. Proper decisions must be taken..
