United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I believe a City fan lost his life today, if true you moaning lot on here should be ashamed of themselves, there is a family out there tonight whose father, son, brother, not coming home ever again and you whinge about a fucking football result.
What happened

Forum page isn’t for deaths, it’s a post match thread of the derby match.gotta a parent with dementia and is bed ridden and my other parent has Parkinson’s.
Been watching city for over 55 years, my first love. Inseparable but the death of this teams cycle is upon us, gonna be a tough few years with no guarantees, just look over at the swamp. My biggest fear is the rebuild maybe better served for a new manager.
The drop off from the team is huge,
* recruitment, buying and selling.
* injury prone players, John stones, KDB.
* big egos not the right focus, JACK.
* players past their best, Bernardo, kovacic, Stones, KDB.
* tactics, fullback coming in to create overloads.
* vanity protects. Rico Lewis.
All of a sudden the squad is as bad as it’s ever been in the last 12 years, we have subs who the manager doesn’t rate, they don’t and won’t get a look in, demotivates everyone,some players are playing every game.
A really awful united team narrowly beat us, our standard of play is slow, methodical, no penatration, we always look vulnerable to concede, look at the GD column. Don’t get me on Nunes, this guy is a fraud, we’re dining at the top table now, and we are served with seconds of no ability whatsoever….

Jack, big ego?

I think he lacks it. Could do with more self belief.

What is his natural position - I don’t have a clue ?

He’s not a holder, he can’t tackle, shoot, run past a player - he’s not a no10 it’s not on the left or the right - just what the f**k is Nunes ?

Nunes at wolves was at his best carrying with the ball through from his own half and towards the opposition box, often on the break

We dont play that way. We play slow build up play, side to side, wax on wax off.

To the Rags, really? Right now Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are way way better than the rags, let's at east be honest here, eh?
I’m not talking about the rags winning the league but how we’re giving up the balance of power in Manchester. It started with the cup final, then staff moving over to them, the rags are gash but we managed to lose to them today. Our slide has been coming for a while, no left back, no replacement defensive midfielder, no 2nd centre forward, our amazing 1st team has melted away through injury and age and we’ve done nothing to follow it up with quality replacements.
I don’t know if the 115 has made them take their eye off the ball or they’ve become that arrogant or naive or the pressure of fighting the cartel/media/uefa/pl is finally telling.
Whatever it is I don’t want to give those fückers any sniff of getting back above us.
If nothing else today should see the start of sorting this crisis out, which in comparison to Lincoln or York away in 98 is nothing, but from 4 in a row it’s a problem.

Yeah, but the original poster gave credit to their manager. If you want to be a good football team ypu have to perform well. United have been here multiple times over the last 15 years. Picking up results while stinking the place out. It eventually ends in tears.

Similiarily we have played shit for the majority of the season, while picking up enough points to stay connected to the top of the table. 2 months ago if you pointed put that our performance levels are bloody awful people on here would go "fuck off, we got the three points". This eleven game run is what you get if the club doesn't rectify the performance levels and you stop getting the rub of the green.

Put it this way, even if we won 1-0 today we should have been furious about the performance. Unless we start performing again it makes little to no difference if we pick up points here and there. It isn't sustainable
Can't disagree with that but I was really speaking about this game in isolation. Also any fan will take 3 pts all day long with the performance being secondary.

I don't post much. Can't be bothered with the grief that follows someone who disagrees with an opinion.
But Nunez should not put on a city top again.
Me and my lad have disagreed all season about him. He rates him. I don't see any benefit from his inclusion. I don't see what he brings to the team. I don't see how he is better than some of the younger bench warmers we have. I think it would benefit us in the long run to give some of them a run out at his expense. I honestly believe he was a knee jerk reaction to the West Ham lad becoming untenable. And that's not something we do. And his performances are why. He is not a big game player.

He is not on the same level of player we look to attract. And hand on heart, this is not a reaction to today. I've said it all season. He was a mistake and should be nowhere near the team unless the injuries increase.

And i am trying to be fair. Gvardiol is having a mare. He scored but should have stopped their second. He's been at fault for a lot recently, for city and Croatia. But I see in him a player that will be a tower in the coming years. Not so Nunez.

Gutted about the result but it appears we have broken several mirrors recently. At least I won't waste any time this week looking at anything sports related.
i don’t understand why you mentioned croatia here. fyi, there are soooo many issues with that national team, gvardiol is NOT the problem.

he literally scored the goal that secured the nl qf, most people want to clone him because he’s doing everything.
