United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

We hear the Rags are disposing of seven players, in which case we should follow them and do the same. Some too old, some too slow, some too disinterested. Replace the youth that we have mistakenly sold for a good price, but paid more for mediocre replacements. The heart has gone from this team and Haarland now seems to be a liability, offering nothing, no involvement, no tackling, very little running back to help out. No goals. Nothing. A while ago we had goals coming from five or six players, keeping defences guessing. What happened?

Absolutely. They collectively panicked and dropped the head. Same as Feyenoord. No tactics in the world are saving you there. Major confidence problem.
Game management starts with
the coach then the captain, then the leadership group

Who was captaining the team in the last 5 minutes ??

Who, from the leadership group, was playing in the last 5 minutes ??

Over the last 10 seasons we’ve seen games out by keeping the ball, passing it about, making other teams run around senselessly trying to win the ball back, yet now when we’re in front towards the end of the match, we keep on attacking, we keep losing the ball, and giving the away team a chance to attack and score, Feyenoord, United, etc.

I’ve been thinking and I’d rather back pep then the players if the insane rumor mongers are to be believed!
I hope we stick with him and the board back him in January!
After all he’s done for us, The man deserve some patience and a chance to get shit sorted

Remember when the opposition were out on their feet and begging for the game to end, not given a second on the ball and chasing shadows. Now they look fresh as daisies and able to implement their own tactics at ease. Lack of form? Ok - but the lack of effort!!!
Yep. When a match wasn't going great at half time we used to have full faith that we would still win comfortably as we knew the opposition would be dead on their feet by 70 minutes

Deep down inside he will know if he's up to it. He didn't sign that contract on a whim. As you say a bit of patience is required at the moment. I feel he will have to be ruthless in relation to certain players and the squad overhaul though. Some are certainly past their best and some will never be up to it.
