United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Some rags in the pub offered me bets yesterday that they would finish above us.

Kind of thing we maybe used to do during the darkest years. Because it was the only form of consolation available. There could be no more conclusive proof that they know they are now the second club in Manchester, and will be for a long time to come.

Take the bet. Out of pity. A friend of mine who is a lifelong Saint-Etienne supporter remarked to me that there is nothing worse than other supporters being gentle with you, being kind to you, especially when they are the supporters of your direst rivals. So absolutely spot on. When you are hated, you are feared.
I would have taken the bet.

Yep. When a match wasn't going great at half time we used to have full faith that we would still win comfortably as we knew the opposition would be dead on their feet by 70 minutes
Now it's, we're dead on our feet after the first 20 minutes ha

They can get to fuck if they think I’m giving up my turkey sandwiches to go and watch them fuck up again on Boxing Day.

Suck my balls.
Had managed to get the sister's kid, living on Murkyside to support City and had got them seats for Boxing Day. Just had the call to say they can't make it - hmmm - I know we're not keen on glory hunting/fickle fans on here and some will be happy when we're back to our 26-28K hard core fanbase - but it's probably indicative of how not only the team will drop-off.

Do a large plate.

He fucked up but the team should then have the mentality to think. Right, it’s shit but it’s happened and it’s now 90 mins. We have created fuck all game so let’s just keep it tight, play out a draw and it’s not the end of the world. Oh no! That would be too hard for some of them! Fucking up once is bad enough. To do it 2 minutes later is just criminal of the team. Hopeless.
Similar to the feyernord game 3 nil up why not sit back take the 3 points as in yesterdays case think ffs keep it tight take the point , suicide yesterday

If the Players and Pep are in the know about the charges and the punishment is coming and they have down tools then 100% i would be very angry with the players and Pep, Yes the owners would be in the wrong and would have let the whole club down and the fans would be right to kick off and it will be a right mess.

The Fans are always the last people to know and the first to be punished, When your owners are in the wrong and lied and found guilty of cheating what hope has the club got, it would be undefendable and a nightmare.

I don't think it can be the charges and we are found guilty, because of all the work still going on around the club and money is still being spent and money is available to spend in the transfer window on new players.

What could be happening is a power struggle between the players and Pep and we have a split camp of players who are making it hard knowing maybe their time is up and don't really want to be here. Ederson wanted a move in the summer and was nearly out of the door before the move fell through,

Pep has been looking over at the goalkeeping coach a few times this season and saying what the hell was that by Ederson, Pep even dropped him so clearly something is not right there, Haaland is not happy and not giving his all and ghosting in games even with a snide smile on his face saying fuck this.

Then the club captain Walker just messing around and ghosting and pointing and getting outrun by players that are not in his league for speed, Walker is normally the player Pep uses and trusts to recover and defend the space at his back

But and this is a BIG BUT, Bernardo Silva is not a happy player and does not want the ball and wants to play
Bernardo Silva normally runs and wants the ball all day long, He even was a little ratter and put in some dirty tackles for the team, Now its i forget he was playing ?

And another thing that pisses me off, when was the last time we mugged these fuckers off with a result, how many times have they done it to us over the years, we NEVER do to them what they consistently do to us, as shite as they are, they have consistently bagged last minute winners against us, or come back from 2 down, are they just lucky bastards
If they fell in a hole full of shit they would come out smelling of roses.

Morning all.
Wanted to sleep on yesterday before posting.
Firstly. Let's not dress it up. It was a shit game involving 2 very poor teams. We were in control until the 86th minute until we decided to yet again gift the opposition the equaliser.
Nunes never will be nor ever has been a city player. No one will ever convince me otherwise. That back pass was unforgivable and then to just clatter Diallo to give the penalty away was simply pathetic. He got back. Stand him up. Wait for others to try to get back but no he made another rash decision to dive in. Awful awful. He should have just put the ball into row Z and we reset...
The winner. Ederson totally at fault. The split second he stopped always gave Diallo the advantage. Ortega needs to be our number 1 moving forward. Ederson way to complacent now, and that breeds a lack of confidence in the defence. Gvardiol I thought he could have booted it off the line rather than try a flick but he played well along with Dias were the only 2 to come out with any credit.
Now a draw for me would have been acceptable with our play at the moment but no we GAVE the points to the rags.
Moving on. Let me address the elephant in the room.A certain Erling Haaland. Piss poor. No effort. Body language all wrong and this may sound a little off hilter but If we could get over 100 mill for him I would cash in. He does not work hard enough for me. Look at Isak at Newcastle. Works his bollocks off. I know many will disagree but thats my view. Even go back to a false 9.
Bernardo, Walker, KDB, Ederson, all have stayed a season to many for me. Bringing Gundogan back hasn't worked.
Savio Doku are young and I will reserve judgement. Nunes simply not at the levels required.
Grealish. Should be playing in the 10 role.
Squad neglected as it has been has certainly hurt us. That lands on Txiki I am afraid.
Pep has indefinite credit in the bank for me and anyone who doubts him need to seriously stop.
One word of advice. Don't read or listen to the media. They are loving it. Let them. It wont last forever. Target FA cup. Top 4, knockout c league.

See you at Villa,Everton and Leicester
Good analysis but not sure Pep is the man for the rebuild. His contract extension appeared half hearted to me and his subdued comments yesterday sound like a man who has given up the ghost. Also realistically it will take him two years to get back to where we were, if that's possible, and then we are back to square one. I think we are ripe for a new man and a new decade long project.
