United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Was very shocked after hearing for the last 2 weeks that Donna never leaves his line. Several brilliant punches out relieved pressure

THIS is the Haaland we’ve been begging for for the past 2 seasons. This is the type of work rate we want to see in big games. Taking his chances, he could’ve had a hat trick but still he owned the game. Held up the ball. Won aerial duels. Look how great he was defensively, it was superb.

Foden realised who he is finally ! Since Cherki is out and Reinjders looks like he’s never played football before. We have to give him the ball 24/7. He should have the most touches every game from now on.

Doku coming central and mixing up his game is the key. I’m sure him playing on the right would make his numbers improve even more. Hopefully things click.

Khusonov omds I wish we had two of him. He’s so powerful.

Rodri looked like his first season. Not a surprise he’ll take weeks to get back to his best.

I would’ve played Nico G instead of Bernardo because he wasn’t great.

Hopefully we can play this 11 again. And make a small run.

What a weird performance. Absolutely no control of the game, scoring from transitions/counters. It’s the kind of way we’d usually lose a game when we’re having a bad day.

Thought they looked better on the ball.

We’ll get torn to shreds by Arsenal next week going off that.
We've just beat the rags on an emotionally charged day (i'm absolutely knackered).
Please try to enjoy it.

Great result, but lets not get carried away by that scoreline. Still lots of issues in this side and didnt look like Guardiolas team at all for the last 25 minutes. Napoli and Arsenal are much harder and proper test for this team.Rodri will get back to his best, but other than that the midfield is pretty worrying. United is even worse than i thought ,still had about 3-4 chances to score.
Yes. We can’t get excited. They had about 5 shots in the last 10 mins. We had less possession but I think it’s fine since we have the Gk who can handle it and Haaland who can go 1v1 on the other end. We used to do this a lot in 22/23

Hopefully the penny has dropped and Pep has now realised we look a really competent counter attacking team. Almost Atletico Madrid like or Inter Milan.

Pointless trying to dominate games with possession when we don't have the players we once did.

We looked class on the counter today. Fun to watch as well.
Maybe not the whole game but after we get a goal or two and bait the opposition to try harder. They have no option but to leave themselves open at the back

great username.

I'll hold my hands up. I went for a draw pre match, mostly because I couldn't bring myself to vote defeat. Thankfully I got it completely wrong.
A good team performance, we looked like a team and we fought like a team, a team that desperately wanted the three points.
Haaland was brilliant in all areas of the pitch. Foden was great in the centre and I loved it when he turned and ran with the ball. Doku was impressive and helped O'Reilly at the back, they both worked well together.

Exactly mate, I was trying my best to avoid the “racial” element of my post but 99% of them didn’t look your “typical” city fan, but then how did they get tickets?? & more importantly how the fuck did they think it’s acceptable to have half a rag scalf round their neck? it sickens me I fuckin despise them like nearly all of us do ctid
I wasn't being racist, by the way. I'm probably classed as a tourist these days. I'll be over for the Burnley game, but there's no way on God's green earth that I'll be buying one of those monstrosities. I'll probably buy a programme maybe a pin badge. That'll be my "souvenir".
