United (H) Post Match Thread

Oh and looking on Facebook all the closet rags have been changing their profile photos to ‘Manchester is red’.

Fucking morons.

On block who I know has literally spent the whole season saying how much he hates Pogshit. Every post has been about how shite he is.

Yesterday ‘Pogba- different gravy’

Thank fuck I’m self employed and don’t have to go to work in an office full or rag shitheads tomorrow.
Just stay on here mate, this place is awash with red mardarses.

In all honesty is their anything wrong with men crying?
I often cry when I get upset is that a problem?
Really? I can count on one hand the amount of times I can remember crying.

Saying that, I’ve suffered with depression in my adulthood so maybe a good cry is a good thing to release a bit of tension every now and again?

I deleted all my Facebook rag idiots years ago. Wankers the lot of them, wouldn't even date one.

This. Absolutely do not have rag friends. It highlights what kind of person they are and that should be enough to prevent them ever being a mate.

Still not really got over yesterday from my initial viewing of the team sheet till the blowing of the final whistle and the only consoling thought i can use to take away a little of the pain is i am taking my pain at the final whistle and multiplying it by maybe a 100 and trying to imagine and enjoying how those c@@ts felt when we pipped them in 2012...

Right, let's end the post-match and look forward. We threw away a great chance to grind our neighbours into the dust but there is much more ahead of us this season.
Obviously the first task is Tuesday which I fear is beyond us. I've seen loads of posts saying we aren't out yet but I've yet to see one explaining how we'll score three and keep them out (and win on pens). But we've beaten them 5-0 already this season and that's bound to happen again. Can't see it personally but I'll be delighted to be wrong.
But we can still set records in the Prem so why not go all out for those? The record number of points is 95 (Chelsea in 2005); we are currently on 84 and should be capable of taking 12 from Huddersfield, Brighton, Swansea, West Ham and Southampton even if we mess up at Spurs which is the most difficult of our remaining games.
We have scored 90 PL goals so far and the record is 103. If we carry on scoring at our current rate we should beat it by 4 goals and while we aren't certain to do it by any means, we must have a good chance as 5 of our remaining games are against struggling sides.
We could also set a goal difference record. Chelsea hold the record with +71 and we are currently on +66 so there's every chance to overtake them.
I'd have swapped all these records for winning the title against the rags yesterday, but at least these records give us something to aim for in the remaining league games.

Funnily enough, yesterday I was thinking that one positive about football that is often overlooked by people who 'don't get it' is that it teaches you how to take a defeat right on the chin and deal with it. Its not often in life you can be taught that in a way that, 'by Monday', doesn't really matter.

I've cooled down about it now, never good to lose a derby and it was a bad week overall for City off the back of the Liverpool result.

If we are going to compare our seasons with anyone though we can still hold our heads higher than any of them, the last two results are only shocks because of how good we are, Liverpool the second best attack in the league at their own ground and second place in the league United in a derby game which are said to be games were anything can happen and form goes out of the window... is that really such a poor reflection on us?

As for the second in the league, we out played them overall there's no arguing with that, we battered them in that first half and still created more chances than them in the second half if I remember right... 3 crosses changed the game for them, yes they took their chances and we didn't take ours but they're not going to get luck like that in a big game too often(the conversion rate, the linesman and ref decisions... us missing so many chances) they are still miles off us and if they make the mistake of making too much of that result that's better for us.

Martin Samuels article on the mail website sums up the lost opportunity for me.

My mate whose on holiday in South Africa, phoned me today after the dust had settled. We agreed it's not the fact we lost to these fuckers, we've witnessed that happening down the years many times. It was the once in a lifetime opportunity to win the League against them........simples, but we move on and get the five points needed to win this league.....on goal difference as a first point....hopefully we'll smash the 95 point as the best ever total.
