Pep doesn’t like to humiliate teams as there are too many negatives in terms of players becoming complacent and the media getting carried away……so for me not too surprised we gave them a couple at the end just to keep ten bob in a job……

Considering a few were worried about Rodri missing another beast of a performance. Love the balance of the team today and we frightened them to death. Haaland - I simply have no words about how good this guy is, everything about him on and off the pitch is different class.

We even - as part of the great master plan - allowed them to get a couple of late goals just so they think they are not that bad. But ladies and gentlemen they are stuck on earth whilst we are flying high in the outer universe. All of the starting 11 were outstanding, the game was won before the changes.

Finally I would love to see Alvarez get some starts soon but who the heck do you take out of the front three? I guess with the hectic fixtures ahead he will get his chance, maybe in midweek.

Forgive me for not reading the whole thread, just got back to my apartment in Alicante after watching the Mighty Blues destroy our arch enemy ..
Just want to say that the scoreboard does not reflect the result aside from a worldie..

The bar I was in, they left at half time, just like their plastic fans …

Hold on to your hats Blues, this is gonna be the ride of our lives ..!

Exactly my feelings….let’s leave the rags picking the nuggets out of that turd…..the reality is we eased off, saving legs for more important games ahead.

Time to bask in the reflected glory of a brilliant city performance…..oh and to think up new and clever quips for the office tomorrow ;)
 
I listened to Ted Rag going on after the FT whistle about MANUre not having 'the confidence' which he had clearly failed to impress on his team. No, my dear stroopwaffel, it wasn't confidence they lacked it was just a matter of quality and talent that was missing. I wonder what the likes of Cuntona, Sir Blobby and the Ginger Pig would make of that team today.

We battered 'em, and not a single sign of David Silva!
