Given what happened last night, this turns into an absolute must win game now. Win this and last night gets forgotten about very quickly. The crowd will be absolutely buzzing on Tuesday night if we win on Saturday and to be honest, I think we should turn that game into a party time game.

I'm After some advice please Blues. Having given my Seasoncard up this season I'm missing out on Saturday, I'm gutted obviously but I've got a big dilemma on my hands...

I'm going to the Courteeners gig on Saturday night with the wife who's six months pregnant. I know this may sound a proper daft question on derby day with the chance of winning the league but can anybody recommend a bar/hotel bar that will have the game on in town that won't be too rowdy? A mate of mine suggested the Raddison but I'm not convinced they show football in there?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

The bar the Doubletree Hilton usually shows football I think - give that a try

No point saving players for champs lge as we are out. Pep and the players need to give the fans something to cheer about after last night's embarrassment.

My prediction that we would mash the Scousers was rather far off the mark. But don't worry, I'm saying the same for Saturday, then 5 or 6 nil on Tuesday (to us)
I like your positive thinking even if it's misplaced. Too much negative stuff on here. We'll have to score an early goal or 2 on Tuesday though then the momentum is back with us and the tie is back on. The main positive for me is that it's not at Anfield so guarantee we'll play 5x better - the place is a cursed ground for us.

Why rest anybody as they all did fuck all against the bin dippers. Given the number of games left why does any player need a rest so strongest team and smash the manure bastards. Sorry rant over!

I’d take a shock home defeat if it somehow managed to inspire the players to beat Liverpool on Tuesday leading to a place in the semi-finals.

United was the more important game to me last Sunday and it still is. We will never get the chance to rub their noses in it like this again. Champs League; we'll get a few chances over the next few years.

Losing this and then going out on Tuesday would be a complete disaster and taint this remarkable season. Before last night I think the vast majority of us were willing to accept a weakened team and a possible defeat if it meant progressing to the semi finals but with that now looking very very unlikely although not impossible, we can't let this chance slip too. The Liverpool result, or more accurately the manner of the defeat has elevated the importance of this game significantly.

We as fans have a big few days ahead to play our part too. If we can't get an atmosphere going around the entire ground and not just a small pocket of noise for these two games then I'm not sure why people are bothering to attend. Let's get the place rocking from minute one on Saturday, win the league against United and ride that wave of momentum into Tuesday and show the scousers how league champions play.

And then we would have to win the next two , one of which is away to Spurs. No we must be at full strength and go for the win . If we don't get that a draw is the next best thing which means we would only need one more win to clinch title .
