Buying a replacement midfielder who had injury problems all last season was not a wise move, so far.

I’ll assume the medical dept did their due diligence (as they did when we bought Gundo WHILE he was injured!) and that Philips has just been unlucky with the shoulder. He will be invaluable over time, and he signed for a looong time.
