We are not in the best form , we have been functional and ground at a few results recently , would love to hammer the Rags but the result is more important than the performance , will take a nice boring 1-0 or 2-0 win. Start chalking off the games , ten games to go after Sunday and i reckon we need to win at least eight of them to keep them pesky scousers at bay.

Not good for the rags they win Liverpool probably win the title and equal their number of wins. We beat Leeds and Blackburn to give the rags a leg up in tight title races , both times they blue it. Nice if they could jelp us when they go to Anfield.

Moony on the podcast made a good point re our poor recent home record to the rags - the games we’ve lost to them have by and large not been must win games. The 17/18 disaster although still painful now didn’t alter the big picture nor did last season’s no show league performance or the league cup SF 2nd leg.

I’m usually really anxious in the week before a derby, but with everything going on in the world at the moment it’s a bit different this time. Obviously hope we batter them still, but if not then got to keep things in perspective. Just hope we don’t repeat the same mistakes we usually make against them at home. No need to be too gung ho, keep it tight and our superiority should prevail over the 90 minutes.
