Next 2 games crucial and both banana skin games. United unbeaten in 8 PL games, while Vieira really picked up the pace at Palace recently, they are going for top10 instead of fighting relegation zone and they also beat us at Etihad.

Pep needs to be ready and make sure the team does not waste the full first half with below par effort and intensity like we did against Spurs or we did against Everton as well. and watch out for counters.

A year ago Pep dropped Walker, Bernie and Foden, our three most energetic lads, and told the world derbies doesn't mean more than other matches. Fanboy Ole approached it like the cup-final of the decade and won with an absolute shit team. Any lessons to be learned there Pep?
We lost much of our murderous instinct vs this plague when Vinny left that's what I feel. Hate derby days.

I think Arsenal, and 4th spot has an impact on this game as it will effect Utd's tactics. The Watford-Arsenal game is too close to the game to influence Utd's approach but Utd's objective for this season is CL qualification and to illustrate the the top 4 race consider the position of Utd if Arsenal win today at Watford, and Utd draw:

Arsenal P25 48
Man Utd P28 48

Utd fans might be pleased with a point but it could also put a major dent in their top 4 hopes. They cannot afford to play for a draw, and that could be significant.

City's weakness is Laporte imo. I was hoping Ronaldo would play. It looks like he wont which probably means Rashford will start and that could be a problem for us. He's in bad form but has the attributes to cause us problems.
The rags desperately need Champs league but a win today would keep the natives happy and take a lot of sh1t of club, players and management, a big win today for us could well cause collateral damage.

I've been thinking that we lack some kind of leader since Dias as been ruled out for this Derby and its slightly worrying

Cannot understand how many blues on here hate derbies. I used to, because the 5-1 aside we always got smashed. In fact since the 'Gary Neville is a blue' last derby at Maine rd, i always feel optimistic we will beat them. November at the swamp was an absolute whitewash for us. If we play as we can we have nothing to worry about. Derby days are very enjoyable now. Up the blues.
