If it's a crumb of comfort, I seem to remember City beat them 2-0 in a pre-season friendly at Old Trafford in 1999, SWP stole the show!Just going back to the History forum, and I see to my dismay that during the entire decade of the 90s we did not beat them once in any competition. I had forgotten that. Fuckers.
In the second decade of their hegemony, though, we beat them several times when strictly speaking we had no right to be doing so. In fact, this last decade has sort of reversed that. They've beaten us several times, when they are a markedly inferior team.
Derby day, form goes out the window. Who's most up for it, that's the question.
Reckon Pep's bluffing, when he says he's going to change his tactics. Pep never, ever says in advance what he's doing. He follows Don Vito Corleone's maxim: never let anybody outside the family know what you're thinking.
I’d love Foden to put in a MOTM performance and win a derby all on his own.
depends if we class Kelechi Iheanacho as home grown. Is SWP the last home grown City player to score in a derby game? Agree, would love to see Foden score (at least one) tomorrow.
Incidentally, when was the last hattrick scored in this fixture? Unfortunately the only one that comes to mind is Kanchelskis for them in the 90's. A game I wish I could forget, but is seared in to my memory.
