United has snapped up another of ours!

As I understand, no big deal at this age. Clubs invite loads of kids to train with them from a young age, they can switch to another team as and when they want. My next door neighbour is a red, starting playing for City and then switched to United when asked, he now plays for their U-12's.
It's when they get to 13/14 it counts as think there are restrictions on the catchment area until then, and the one's chosen going forward have to go to 'the clubs' high school, hence why City will include classrooms as part opf the training complex.

A word of warning for the parents, there is a very good reason why they produce so few from their youth set up, its no f*cking good.

Its full of bitter also rans and ex players ( Like chelski`s youth set up) and drills into them the win at all costs brand of football that has turned out so many cloggers and all round c*nts.

If the kid is that good then get him the f*ck away from them before the damage is done, besides the City set up, Crewe has a very good reputation for developing kids the right way, as do the likes of Preston and Blackpool.

He must be a tall 5 year old. I bet he's only twice the height of a football. Some "skills" they must be. I assume he can run around and kick a ball in a straight line and might even be able to do keepie-uppies for a bit.

I was an outstanding keeper at junior school. Played for East Cheshire. Unfortunatley i never got above 5 foot 8, so became a winger!

not one poster has even thought about the poor little might wearing
a red top when he is a blue..............

shudder at the thought

My lad plays like that and he's just turned 4, bit soon to get any hopes up, but he won't be wearing Red anytime soon (:-)
