United (massive mini) Parade

BOB, I turned down the chance to move abroad because of City. For some, City is a lifestyle and always will be. For me, not being able to watch City would be the sacrifice, not missing out on what would potentially be a 'nicer' life in the sun. And to think this was in the final Keegan season and start of Psycho's reign!

I have no admiration for band wagon jumping glory hunters. That's whether it is the rags or Liverpool. They support the team because of their achievements and not geographical or genealogical connections. I'm sure they wouldn't swap their experiences for those of a City fan in the last 20 years. Absolute bell ends! That's just my opinion of course!
But what about the United fans that started supporting them even when they were shite?

Do they exist, apart from locally? Whether it was the air disaster, George Best, or success, they were all bandwagons with plenty willing to jump on up!

It makes me piss, this all City are from Stockport shite. The rags would love it if the perception was all Utd come from Salford. But it's not, the whole country knows that the majority of the fuckers at the games are from Ireland, Islamabad or Islington. And for the daft rag, I'm sure Burnage is a lot closer to Stockport than it is Old Trafford.

What makes me piss is the fact that there are actually more reds in Stockport. Go in any pub in Stockport when the rags are playing and they are full of plastics. I don't actually know any reds that attend games, yet most the blues I know are season tickets holders/regulars.

Unfortunately, my parents relocated from Burnage to Reddish when I was young and I've been here ever since. My mum even had the audacity to give birth at Stepping Hill when I was meant to be born at St. Mary's. How unlucky am I!? Both the primary and secondary schools I went to, full of reds with a sprinkle of County fans. Thankfully my blood is Mancunian blood, and blue at that, unlike some of the relations ha! I also live closer to Eastlands than Edgeley Park (a fact, not a guess) so, City are still my local team.

Born in Leve and then moved to Burnage in 85 due to my parents spliting up. Met the other half and moved into her house in Ladybarn. Then we decided to buy a larger house with a large back garden mainly for the dogs. Ended up in Cheadle Heath. Not far from us is the Farmers Arms. On match days it's full of United fans, many coming from the nearby estate. Down the road in Cheadle is a pub, forget it's name, that has a permanent United flag on a pole hanging above the main entrance. Always full of United fans. Yes there are loads of City fans In Stockport, but please don't make out there aren't any United fans.

Another Pete Boyle led myth.
