"Fathers held young sons on their shoulders as supporters clamoured five-deep along Deansgate to catch a glimpse of the players."
I suppose 5,000 IS a lot. There are only 19,000 of them in Manchester after all.Wexford Blue said:"We had more out than they did, and this in the pissing rain, two days after losing a cup final!"
"Rubbish, those saying that either saw it at 9am when no-one was there or when the bus was in between Deansgate and Old Trafford when it was only people running alongside the bus. Was packed for most of the route. Considerably more than city's parade, and quite convincingly too."
"I think the turnout was very good given the disappointment on Saturday and the weather."
Wow...
I was on the phone to my mate who couldn't get near OT because of the amounts of fans. No-one who lined the early parts of the route could. Comfortably more than city's parade.
