United Pre-Match Thread - Friendly in Houston - Kick off now 03:05am (BST)

KOMPANY: It’s a friendly but never a game I play as a friendly. It will be competitive but at same time we get what we need out of it.

This is what worries me. Its our first game and we'll be jet lagged. United will be acclimatised to the time difference and have had a couple of games under their belt. They'll be much fitter. If we try to compete with them as if it were a normal game, we'll be trying to match their tempo, going for balls where we'll be 2nd favourites. It seems like a recipe for picking up injuries.

I don't like the idea of playing United in pre season at all but, if we have to, surely it shouldn't be our first game and their 3rd?

I'm kind of hoping he said that with the fans in mind, as he shouldn't be playing 'balls out' in this game.

I agree it a really stupid game for our first one,the rags will probably go all out but pep will do the sensible and change the whole team at half time i reckon,i just want no injuries from the cloggers
 
I hope fellow Blues don't take this match seriously. It's just to gain match fitness.
 
So the only way I can watch it live is MUTV.
Fuck that! Common City get it sorted
