Where as Fulham devised a small neutral end for tourists fancying watching a spot of top-flight football, Manchester United took the unprecedented step of offering out their entire stadium.
Investing in Robin van Persie has also worked as a handy autocue for United fans who aren’t entirely sure when to make any noise. Now he’s been knocking goals in for fun, at the very least, Old Trafford gets a few more 10 second chants of ‘UNITED!” before they go back to taking photos again.
The ‘Theatre of Dreams’ does indeed feel very much like a day out in the West End at times, with large queues waiting outside souvenir shops and plenty of folk wielding hideously expensive cameras. Which is all very nice, but it doesn’t make much noise. Not in the stadium, anyway. The series of trains taking all the home fans back to London are usually a hive of activity and discussion.
Mind you, what are the odds on this being a high-scoring game with Manchester United storming back to seal victory with a 97th-minute Javier Hernandez offside goal?
That Chevrolet deal was good news for City as it means that IF any Fair Value investigation was made into the Etihad deal (unlikely as they are not at the moment considered a related party) there'd be no case to answer.bleed.blue said:Sooner or later, ManU's bluff on that Chevorlet deal will be out in open. The man who signed that deal from GM was immediately fired and 50mn per year is no way fair value when even Barca goes for 25mn. However, if it is true, then UEFA will have to stop investigating into our deals for fair value as well or they will be accused of double standards.
