The team they had last season and without RVP for the majority had the best away record in the premier all they have to do is improve there home form and that's without bringing in any players

Where does this myth come from. liverpool and arsenal took 35 points on the road, us the rag and chelsea took 34. If the pundits say it over an over it becomes true:)

They had the best away record until the final day at Southampton.

It is odd that they could perform so well away but were so average at home. Suggests it was a mental problem?

At one stage - late in the season - the rags did have the best away record.

Now, which team had the best home record?

Hmmm...

I thought it was understood by everyone that they're all mental!

One the best away record I meant but they could improve there home record but there away may suffer next season! The scum will fight it out for top four with Liverpool and arsenal

I think you can add Everton into the mix too.

Roberto Martinez had a great first season there with only a few additions. I know both Barry and Lukaku were loan signings and we don't know where those two will end up. However it doesn't seem the the eye-gouger fancies Lukaku, so he might move to Goodison on a permanent deal.

Gareth's future is also not certain and the Toffees were much stronger with him in the side. If I was Kenwright, I would offer all I could to get GB18 to sign for them. He seemed to enjoy his time there, so I think it's more than possible that he could end up there.

Sorry not having a go at anyone just pisses me off the way pundits say it as fact when its not.
And yes they did have a good away record shame they where shit at home :)

Just so I can get my facts (piss taking) straight, where does Utd's 2012 league collapse fit in with the all time PL record of such things - did they actually 'do a Newcastle' in a bigger way than Newcastle did?
Also, was this years title defence the shittest ever in the PL?
Blackburn were the worst but only just. They won it with 89 points and came 7th the following season with 61. The rags won it with 89 and came 7th with 64.

I still think our defence after winning the first divison in 1934, (and seeing the rags relegated, just to ice the cake), and then going down ourselves as champions the season after, despite scoring more goals than anyone else in the league, takes some beating.
If anything epitomises the roller coaster that is watching Manchester City, then it's this.

Here is a pistol point it at your foot and pull trigger.

We never ever do things by halves..... if City are going to fuck up we'll do it in spectacular fashion.

...and we wouldn't have it any other way mate.

Their away record kept them out of a relegation battle.
