And didn't Balotelli get a retrospective ban for an attempted stamp on Scott Parker when the Ref had given a free kick for the foul. And Adebayor banned retrospectively for stamp on RVP when ref was looking straight at it (Think he was booked!) If ref saw it and deemed Rooney was only deserving a yellow card, then he should be sacked for incompetence! And if he didn't see it, then the FA are allowed to re-review as per 2 cases above!

He will be sacked by summer if he fails to reach top4. I hope he stays though because any team relying on a backbone of Cleverly, Fellaini, Carrick and Jones in midfield is on a hiding to nothing. It's the worst midfield I have ever seen United have. Their wingers are that shit an unproven winger literally walks into the side, his rivals are a 40 year old and Ashley fucking Young. On the other side he as a hot and cold Valencia and a getting worse by the game Nani. Then we talk about their defense!

Ferguson saw all of this and RVP was a quick fix, score more than concede attitude. He knows full well that the squad needs changing and money to do it.

I quite like that idea.

The incident smacked of favouritism and leniency to me. Almost as soon as Rooney kicked out, referee Swarbrick (from Lancashire) had his yellow card out of his pocket. Why? To let everyone know he wasn't sending Rooney off and thus avoid a mass confrontation. Good man management? No, but I'm sure his masters and peers would have seen it as such.

So Rooney gets away with it, and the Cardiff lad does too in the last minute, and the FA bottle it. Why am I not surprised?

I bet there is a discrepancy between who Swarbrick claims to support now to who he supported as a kid.
