The 'Transitional' Period

I don't know about anyone else but I'm pretty sick of hearing this word get peddled about to describe United's situation at the moment.

I understand that not only have they got a new manager and a new backroom staff, they have also got a new Chief Exec.

But seriously, how long is this 'transitional' period excuse going to be used to describe their current standing. Us and Chelsea both have new managers, so what exactly is this 'transitional' phase because I'm getting pretty sick of hearing it in every interview that Moyes gives.

IMO if they don't fniish in the top 4 this 'transitional' phase could go on for another few years, I can't see them attracting the players as they will all want to play in the champions league.

I think it's fair to say that after 26 years, a new manager of anything will be under going a transitional phase. It'll be the same with Arsenal when Wenger goes.

This so called transitional period can go on as long as they want it to for me. The longer they think it will all come right in the end then the longer they will keep Moyes and be a source of much merriment. More power to Moyeses elbow I say.

As far as actual coaching staff goes, we're technically in the same situation as the swamp dwellers; all of Bobby's chums left at the start of last summer (no blame on them though). Transition is a poor, poor excuse.
