Being as fair as I can by picking average fees reported, not including add ons or loan fees etc by my reckoning since winning the title in 2012/13 they've spent £287.2m and built a team that scraped 4th last season and will be lucky imo to do the same again this season.

To be fair, I'll give him more than two games to judge, but I agree that so far he hasn't looked impressive in the slightest. Anyone notice how RAWK and the rest of the media go crazy when Sterling misses a one-on-one and when Memphis did there wasn't a thing said...

RAWK are celebrating each and every game that goes by where Sterling hasn't scored. One fan even tweeted Vincent Kompany yesterday to gloat about our £49m signing not having scored in yesterdays demolition of last seasons champions. The guy was in his forties and has a couple of kids lol.

They are still hurting.

And yes Memphis Depay has been unimpressive so far but they will go back to calling him the next Ronaldo as soon as he scores a goal, whenever that may be.
