United Thread 2015/16

I don't know if you guys go onto Redcafe, but good god are they hypocritical on there. They have threads about a 'bluemoon meltdown' and 'rival squad Manchester City' and others! This isn't what's annoying, what's annoying is that on these threads are countless comments about how U.S. city fans are obsessed with United!!! The irony is bigger than Fergies wine cellar.

I for one am not arsed about them lot, I just found it annoying that we are supposed to be obsessed when all they moan and talk about is us!!

I realise me writing a thread about them might in turn be a contradiction but oh well haha.

Believe it or not, but more than a few on the caf give our players and the team a lot of love. Certainly more than we gave them when they were the team to beat. It's probably because most of them aren't from Manchester so they just don't understand the rivalry. A huge percentage of that forum are from overseas, and that's not me beating them with the stick we normally use, it's a fact.
The bitterest and most bile filled forums belong to Liverpool and Arsenal. I regularly read other forums match threads to see what they say about us. On the caf they usually drool over Aguero and Silva and go on to mention how annoyingly likeable our players are. You get the odd cretin, like that odious harpy from Belfast, but some of them are remarkably fair. RAWK and Goonersweb are just horrible. Every one of our players is shit, Pellegrini is useless, our fans have only supported us since the takeover, Mansour bribes everyone including UEFA, the FA, every ref and opposition players and buys up all 20,000 unsold tickets with his 20,000 aliases so we can cheat FFP. Spurs deserve a mention too. They aren't as bad as the other two but they have a real chip on their shoulder about us "jumping the queue with our dirty oil money"
What a fantastic time to be a blue.

On Redcafe I find it interesting that they are getting a lot of deserved praise from United fans for the way they've started the season and how they're stronger than us at the moment.
Yet on Bluemoon the United thread consists of rag, cnuts, hate..etc no matter how we play

this is so true

I disagree with you about rawk however, one of the best football forums imo. Although someone on there did compare Joe Allen with Xavi

I think we have reached a tipping point where sympathy is creeping in to the feelings of some when it comes to the rags.
Having a massive rivalry with another local club is only an obsession (in a negative sense) in the eyes of the losing fans. I am very happily enjoying the demise of their club and hope to continue to do so for many years to come. I don’t care if they call me obsessed – we used to be bitter but we have nothing to be bitter about anymore, being a blue is joyous!

The Neymar stories are absolutely priceless.

If United don't sign another striker, I'm really not convinced they'll finish top four.

I think Spurs are a bit more okay with it now they've got used to the idea and they aren't too unhappy to see another club that can keep ahead of the Tarquins.

They have a high opinion of Blue Mooners over at RedCafe....

"Its an unpleasant corner of the internet, its the shell suit trousers with a whiff of shit version of a football forum. Whenever I stop by there I find myself feeling bitter just reading it and decide to leave, its like urgh I got some on me. Strange place."
