I know jorge mendes is looked down upon but the guy is a f*cking genious

I suppose in a sense the money is irrelevant. The question is, does he improve them significantly and reading and listening to a few french journos he is far from the finished article. Everyone i've heard talking about him says he hasn't even shone in the french league yet so this is a huge jump in standard.

I'm confident enough to be quoted on this: those people complaining about the Martial deal will consider him a bargain within 3 years when he's considered one of the best players in world football (barring serious injury). Getting in there before the likes of Barca and Madrid come knocking makes sense. If we'd paid big for Neymar at 19 people would have reacted in the same way.

Oh, and to the person above, most people who would discuss the best youngsters in world football would certainly mention martial.

Now this is my take in all seriousness 99% of fans us included had never heard of him he may turn good but just cos the rags are buying him (58m with add ons) all of a sudden he's one of the best youngsters around they really are clutching at straws and long may it continue.

IIRC He did a strange gate vault and landed on the tunnel floor with a sprained neck. He then did the post-match interview in a neck brace, I think?
