Monaco say deal will reach 80m euros ! Why would they lie ? They get an enormous fee that for FFP they surely have to put in the books to show they are breaking even no ?

No lie there's people in France who've watched Martial a lot who were saying last night that he's more David Bellion/David N'gog than Thierry Henry. Hilarious.

Also vice president of Monaco got in touch with Canal Plus last night about the fee United paid. They paid 80 million euros, with 70 of it being paid up front. He said if the British media didn't stop lying about the fee he'd release the paperwork to them today to prove that United had paid those sums. I guess the Russian gangster who owns Monaco wants to show why they agreed to sell a player that they had promised the manager last week they wouldn't sell.
 
Reading the blog regarding Van Gaal's toxic relationship with senior players and his habit of destroying confidence I wonder whether this has happened with Rooney. Watching him the little I have this season he seems shot. Makes the runs and gets into positions but seems to have lost his his bottle completely. The chance against Swansea when Williams got back to him was an example, he didnt even get a shot off.

Think you might be right.
He had so much time against spurs when walker scored the own goal, he just stood there with it and looked like he wasn't sure what to do next.
