Just for my own information, could De Gea offer to buy out his contract for lets say 19m ?

There's nothing stopping any player from offering to buy out their contract at any point. It's just, unless the player is 28 years old, and has 2 years left on his contract, the decision as to whether to accept, or deny, the request lies entirely with the club. Once a player meets the "Webster Ruling" terms then he can simply tell the club he is buying out his contract, hand over the money, and walk away, free to sign for whoever he chooses. In that scenario the buy out valuation would be the players weekly wage multiplied by the number of weeks they has left on their contract, so if you had 2 years left on your deal, and earned £100k a week then you'd have to pay (£100k x 52 weeks) x 2 years = £10.4m.

Actually the specific wording is:-

any player who signed a contract before the age of 28 can buy himself out of the contract three years after the deal was signed. If he is 28 or older the time limit is shortened to two years.
 
Hopefully they're all poised for a drubbing off the dippers at the weekend. That'd be the icing on the cake.

I dare say he will be in the nets v Liverpool if not the next game, no way will he be left to rot for a season
I'd rather he had fucked off to Madrid than help them next season as i'm not arsed how much money theve lost, he could help them stay in the top 4..
