Only thing that slightly concerns me now is they'll try and hold DDG to ransom and force him to sign a new contract so he can be can be given game time. Normally I think he'd be willing to do an Adebayor & sit it out till Jan but with the Euros on next summer I unfortunately can see him playing for them again. Just wanted to see him gone - he's there best player by a country mile!
No chance is he signing a new contract. He's apparently told Spanish media that he'll never play for them again.

De Gea can't do that without United's say so. You can only do that without any club involvement, under what I believe is called the "Webster ruling", if you're 28 or older, and have 2 years or less on your contract I believe. De Gea could offer to do that, and United could accept if they so wished, but the decision would be entirely United's.

You can buy yourself out of a contract under the Webster rule if you're under 28 three years into your contract iirc. Sterling couldnt have done it this year, but could have next year if a deal wasnt done with liverpool.

Not sure how long since De Gea signed his contract though. From memory there is also a small window when you have to submit all the paperwork.

I dare say he will be in the nets v Liverpool if not the next game, no way will he be left to rot for a season
I'd rather he had fucked off to Madrid than help them next season as i'm not arsed how much money theve lost, he could help them stay in the top 4..
Then again he could just stand on the penalty spot and let goals whizz into the net or keep pulling strikers down in the box and keep getting sent off and not giving a fuck and as he walks off gives the finger to the directors box and TTs face

You are quite right they seem to be different than your average football fan quite insular in their outlook, and they all got very complacent I am sure we are not the only ones enjoying their downfall and make no mistakes about it, with that lunatic in charge down is the only way, the violence will start again soon as well mark my words
Yep it happened a couple of years ago in the early rounds of whatever the league cup was then.

I keep seeing a lot of post's saying United are happy with 4th, I don't agree with that, I just think they have bought really badly over the last few years. Anyway England might lose the 4th champions league spot soon if the clubs don't get their act's together, and 4th will be no good - Interesting times ahead, and great times to be a blue.
If the Italian sides do well that will be a reality this year as english sides are in real danger of losing a spot

Very true although it never really went away it was always bubbling there. You only had to see their behaviour at Wembley when we started to beat them and become a threat. As some have said they are probably too big to disappear but i would want to see them crushed out of existence.Never ever feel sorry for them or turn your back, they were merciless towards us when they lorded it,never ever forget!

Just had a quick glance over Red Cafe. A lot on there seem to think that De Gea owes it to them to sign a new contract so they can get a fee from Real Madrid. I shit you not.
