I completely forgot about PSV. No they aren't playing well but unfortunately playin well is not a prerequisite in winning games.
I agree, just look at 2012/13, they were horrible for almost the whole season yet won it. If there's a team that can win a title without being half as good as the teams they're competing with it's United - so I agree they need to be taken seriously, I still think it's too early to judge them as contenders & will be doing that after their next 4 games, if they get something away to Arsenal, manage to win away at tough places such as Palace/Everton & manage to beat us then they're obviously a lot stronger than I'm giving them credit, we shall see which way it goes.

I asked earlier about the gate split. Is there an audit or is it a gentleman's agreement? I actually thought that 50,000 was a generous estimate looking at the crowd pictures.

I assume the 56k is the 35k listed otherwise plus 20k season ticket holder forced-purchase to avoid having their season ticket suspended. Suspended match woul dbe some game in late October.

Yep problem is they can sit back be boring as fuck and wait for either referee howler or an opposition player shitting it..

Might be wrong but think its only youngsters that can opt out of capital one

I thought they could all opt out of the League Cup but doing so would exclude them from getting tickets for any cup finals/semi finals (I know, I know). That's why a fair proportion of them still buy League Cup tickets but don't bother going to the early round games. That would go some way towards explaining why the club claimed an attendance of around 56,000 while another source gave it as under 35,000.

Think its a bit of both no sanctions against the youngsters and adults can opt out but miss out on some future games or something.
Maybe shallyman can ask a match going fan what the rule is ?
Or has he been banned yet

The net will always bring out the worst in people. Besides, most of the city fans on bluemoon probably supported other clubs before City won the lottery.
Anybody on here supported anybody else before we "won the lottery".
I was a Newcastle fan in the mid 90's, then I went to arsenal for a year here and a year there, was a massive chelsea fan solid for 3 glorious years and then man city got bought and I've been a lifelong fan ever since.

Glad I'm not alone...

I actually supported United in the glorious 90's and early 00's (Liverpool before that). I thought about supporting Chelsea when wotshisname bought the club, but decided against it. Glad I switched over to City now. Last season was disappointing though; another one like that, and I may have to reconsider those Chelsea lads.
