Champions for a week.

Shallyman, do you not think that the gooners took their foot off the gas because they had done the job in 20 minutes?
What decision about the captain do you think will be made? He picks the team. He isn't going to drop himself is he? He is the face (???) of manyoo. The player on the cover of computer games, mentioned in the same sentence as Ronaldo and Messi. The national captain. The subject of a fly on the wall, at home with the rooneys documentary.
He's a national treasure.
A shining example to youngsters worldwide in how to behave on and off the pitch.
Scorer of penalties and blistering 2 yard deflections off his thigh.
The apple of woys well rubbed eye.
He can't be as bad as you say, otherwise, why would united pay him £300k a week for the next 3 years?

If i was a united fan reading that id be crying into my pie and mash

The Rooney question is interesting! I sense they are hanging on because of what he once was. I would accept that at one point he was up there with the best young players in the world, he was scoring for fun alongside Tranny but, at the point he left, Rooney took the foot of the gas and went into decline. Utd as a club have ignored the steady decline in to an average player and that is where he has been for at least 2 years. It was not even much of a plateau, he was in decline when Fergie was considering managing him out but the timing clashed with his retirement and they got the cheque book out to try and maintain some continuity.

It is almost a symbolic thing, he is the only link to the last great Fergie team. To drop him is to accept how far they have fallen and would cut the cord on the old era. If they had signed a player, post Fergie, on £300k a week and he performed like Rooney he would be slated beyond anything imaginable but Rooney is just drifting along on the strength of his early career form and earning wages way beyond his current on-field level.

I think the main problem was we were pressing high and Arsenal were playing the ball into the space in behind. One pass took out all of United's midfield and suddenly Sanchez was one on one. Normally, you would let the game pan out in the first 20 minutes, until the team settles, but Arsenal were devastating in their attacks and seemed to score at will. The second half was very different, with some tactical changes, but once again there was no cutting edge with Rooney having another day off and Mata unable to break down a 10 man wall. We got what we deserved, and for one I am happy that we were brought down to earth, because some people were starting to believe that the job had been done, but this team is nowhere near ready to challenge for titles. And there's a big decision to be made regarding the captain.

I thought the main problem was that you got battered by a far superior team and were fortunate to be only three nil down inside 20 minutes.

The main problem was/is your team was/is dog shite and this was always going to happen when you came up against the first decent side.

Rag scum.

Absolute suicide playing Schweinsteiger and Carrick in midfield, zero legs in that midfield. Then tops it off with playing wingers as full backs.

Going to be an interesting few months coming up in the premier league. Think next few weeks we will find out what United are about, Chelsea in crisis but still have the personel to get a run together, Arsenal looking terrible one minute and then destroying teams the next.

Still have some concerns about us as we seem to be giving teams starts on games, we might not get lucky and have a 20 minute period like we did on Saturday. We also need to work harder without the ball, however if it was plain sailing toward the title wouldn't it be boring and give us nothing to rant about on here.

One or two key injuries and this is one pretty ordinary team. Rags can wish this fact away to their heart's content but most of them know it's true.

That's an incredibly generous appraisal by your standards Pam!

You must be mellowing in your old age.

Personally I'd say even WITHOUT one or two key injuries this current utd side is utter dogs**t.

Watching the Rags performance against Arsenal... and Southampton's performance against the Chavs... makes me wonder about the Rags v Southampton result a couple weeks back!

No, your main problem is united are fucking shit right across the team. Average midfielder playing centre half, winger playing full back, 2 past it crocks as the midfield battlers and the fat scouse twat getting in the way of the one half decent prospect you have up front. No need to mention turtles tactical genius substitutions. HOOF IT!

Can any rag fan honstly tell us how that fat bald waste of space gets an England call up when it's obvious he can't hit his own arse with a banjo?

I know it's a teamsport. However, do that lot have a player that would be in our starting line-up and making us better?

... ... ... ...

I give up.

Did you know that Sergio has scored the same number of goals since 15.40 on Saturday as grannyshagger has since January 28th 2015?
