Because they shut a fucking tier.
 
How can they shut a tier and claim 75k sold. How would they know that everyone in the top tier would not turn up? There is something not adding up there. Either the tier was open just with no one in it or the 75k figure is wrong.

I personally can’t be arsed to work out which one it is but something is clearly wrong.
 
Attendance doesn't mean actually being there. Okay. Call it what you all like and justify it even if everyone does it.

Actual attendance was just over 41k (according to GMP allegedly) with 33,000 unused seats. Don't think they count hospitality attendees that don't enter via the turnstiles though so, if that figure is kosher, it might have been a few thousand higher. Plus FA Cup tickets are mandatory for S/T holders so they probably sold a lot more.

PB - are these figures from someone you know who works for GMP - i know we have had figures quoted on here before that are sourced from the plod in some way?

Find that figure hard to believe knowing
sheffield had at least 8000 ? So only 30+ rags?
Seems too low
 
There are still rags on the caf who think Pep is going to them in the summer. I particularly enjoyed the Celtic fan who chips in and mentions his hatred for City and Chelsea.
